More than five stars. As a chef, I'm picky about my food & this went over & above. Hole in the wall, and some of the best food I had on a two-week road trip. Standout items: omelet with swiss, onion, & mushroom (farm-fresh eggs & a classic combo, done right) and slabs of buttered sourdough bread as good as any I've had at a San Francisco bakery. Service was also a standout for me; they went out of their way to help us with a couple of things we needed and finished up by sending me on my way with a takeout cup of iced tea. This was my first visit to Jody's. First let me say it is very small.there are between 10-15 tables. Everyone is very friendly and the "regulars know each other and aren't afraid to say hi and chat for a few minutes. The wait staff is very friendly and they are very efficient! Your coffee cup is never empty and the food is delicious. My compliments to the cook. I had breakfast...a western omelette, home fries and raisin toast. As always, the food was excellent. We hit the mid morning cross between breakfast and lunch. I got breakfast, 2 eggs over easy, home fries, toast and sausage patties. Cooked just like my granny used to make. My husband got the same but ordered sausage links to try for the first time. The links are milder than the patties.
