Miller's Backyard BBQ llc — Restaurant in City of Cohoes

We made the 35 min drive from Ballston Spa because we were craving BBQ. I love ribs and pulled pork in particular. My husband loves brisket. Ordered a combo platter with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, pasta salad, mac & cheese, and sweet potato fries. The ribs were the best I've ever had. Super meaty and tender, the house sauce on it was fantastic. The sweet potato fries were plain but that is how I like them - and it was a good size portion. The mac & cheese was tasty. But the pasta salad.. was my favorite thing of all. I love pasta salad. I like both the mayo based or vinegar based. I dislike those with olives. This one was a vinegar based and had small chopped rainbow bell peppers in it and truly the most delicious dressing ever. I could drink it, it is that delicious. I asked for a large portion of it to take home on the way out. It was a small container and came in a little over $6, which I thought was a little pricy, however... don't care because it was worth it to me. I would buy this by the 5 gallon bucket if I could. Our son got a dozen wings which I didn't try but they were large and looked really good. We had a group and everyone enjoyed their food.

We tried Miller's for the first time tonight. They didn't have the chili I ordered online and paid for, so they gave me the option of a refund, or another menu item. I chose the 6 wings because it was close in price and sounded good. The one guy said to give me a dozen! That was super generous of them, and a good idea overall. I got two flavors, which allowed my family to try them. They were a big hit, especially with my 7yr old. Absolutely delicious. Not dry and good flavors (garlic parm and Cornell flavors). We will definitely get those again. Their onions rings have an excellent flavor and stayed crispy on the ride home. I really liked the bbq beans, but they are on the sweet side. I don't care for mustard, but their mustard sauce is good enough to get again. It doesn't have that bitter, sour yellow mustard flavor I dislike. A little sweet, but that made it good. My daughter ate her entire grilled cheese sandwich, so she definitely liked that, lol. She and my wife split the strawberry crunch cheesecake, which both really liked. My wife said it was a tad dry, but had really good strawberry flavor and she enjoyed it.

The food was really good and the guys were super friendly and very generous. We will definitely be back and I recommend...

Instead of the usual pizza and sub sandwiches for a recent event in the Capital City, my colleagues and I decided to bring in some Miller’s Backyard BBQ as a surprise treat for our clients. We had eaten there before and knew the amazing quality of their food.

We picked up 15 lbs of BBQ pulled pork, sauce and buns to bring to our event; the smell alone was enough to make your mouth water!

Miller’s Backyard BBQ was an INSTANT HIT! The pulled pork literally melted in your mouth! So incredibly tender! And it was so flavorful! (I didn’t even sauce mine - it tasted great on its own.)

We fed a number of guys and the most common, resounding comment of the night was “This is THE BEST BBQ I have ever had!”

Needless to say, we had a room full of full, happy clients! (And I think we’ve now set the bar for future events that it’s Miller’s or bust.)

Moreover, working with John Miller and his team was such a pleasure. Because I live out of state, John made ordering my catering order easy and pain-free.
