I am honestly super disappointed with these guys. It's a terrible company to plan to spend any long term commitment with. If you need a short term rental with no intention of staying over a year, you may be ok, but you need to stay on top of what's coming out of your bank account. They know they have you in a place in which you have to continue to pay their astronomical increases, or move your stuff out immediately. Shortly after signing your rate (first 6 months), plan for it to almost double. You have to call after that and try to argue with them to get it decreased, over and over. They tell you it's annual, but when you ask why you're on your fourth increase in less than 3 years (would be second if that's the case), they change that wording and tell you to read your contract. No notice, just charge your account whenever this "annual" increase happens. They apparently send a post card to you and let you know 45 days in advance apparently, even though it should be annual? So why send out a post card at random times of the year at all, if it's annual? Why not have your customer know when it's about to be doubled in advance with clear increases and pricing ANNUALLY? Why when you call and speak to multiple different people, they'll tell you many different policies and procedures? I've even been told by different billing people, "wow you did get a high increase". They also don't like to communicate in writing at all, will just try to push it through the phone so the rules don't change in writing. Don't set up auto pay. Don't trust them with anything, expect for your rates to be doubled within a year or two. They say the $110 rate is for "new customers". Why not take care of the ones paying well over that for years that you know are committed to you? Why risk a new customer coming in and never paying you, when you have stability. Because they know they have you in a crap position and can. Most people can't just drop everything out of their busy schedules, especially when they're disabled, have children with disabilities and work- to go move a storage unit bc you're being ripped off by a company you should be able to trust. They take advantage of that fact rather than treat long term customers with respect and making sure they're good. It's an all over scam business model, and they're totally not...
Read moreTo all my friends you know who you are do NOT goto this storage unit they are a HUGE SCAM! I’ll give you an example there are patches in the fence from people breaking into it and I don’t mean like 3 or 4 I mean like 12 to 15. Half the storage units doors are dented to hell to the point you can practically fit threw the closed dented doors, there are people who stalk you there as you are trying to store things, and they would NOT give my aunt back ANY of her money from 3 storage units that she did NOT even use ! They try to take advantage of the elderly and people with a disorder The first unit was out of order but they still tried to rent it to her until the guy looked at the unit and said he couldn’t rent it to her but he will get her another one, the second unit it looked like they put an axe to it we couldn’t even open the door and the third unit was right at the edge of the lot where ANYONE could get into it and had no cameras at all around it they are charging my aunt over a hundred dollars for all 3 units she DID NOT USE plus the insurance they absolutely refuse to give my aunt her money back and they did NOT want to give her the contract in the first place we had to DEMAND it we had to ask for it 3 times ! I will NEVER go here and I’d advise ALL NOT to go here, if this one in cohoes is this bad what do you this the rest of them are like ?!
WHAT A JOKE AND A WASTE OF TIME & MONEY!!!!!!

Read moreFirst I must say Nick was amazing when I moved in 10/10/22. After moving in they kept asked me for a review, well here it is. Yes, location is perfect for my needs, but the one question I kept asking was will they raise the rent?? This is why I had to move my storage space the last few times. He said that it wouldn’t happen, well, I just received a postcard in the mail saying my rent is going up from $75 to $115!!! It has only been THREE months!!! Plus they charge a one time $29 admin fee. I was willing to over look this since Nick was so helpful and the location is good, but I thought I would be there longer before they UPPED the rent. I guess these storage places are only good...
