Cravings Bakery and Cafe in #GloversvilleNY has delicious and whimsical desserts and snacks. I love the open kitchen concept, brightly lit and you can see how clean it is where they make everything from scratch. ❤️ 🧁 #ShopLocal #ShopSmall #BuyLocal #EatLocal #ThinkLocal @I LOVE NY

A gift from my old man. Came home to find my pops had bought some cookies from a bakery he had never heard of before, but he's not out in Gloversville often so he probably didn't know this place has been around for a bit. He wanted a Raisin Oatmeal for himself but was out of luck, so he bought a couple of "the best looking ones" for me instead. They are quite heavy and thick, the cookie itself is not very sweet, which was surprising but good considering a sweet cookie of this size and weight would be too much. The tart raspberry center was the sweetest part, in fact, it paired very well with the more bland cookie body. I was told they were $5 a piece, which seems steep, but taking into consideration the sheer heft of the cookie I can see why.

Cravings is such a wonderful bakery! They always have such a great selection of cookies and cupcakes! Cookie burgers and woopie pies that you won't find anywhere else! New creations weekly! Their customer service is amazing and they are ALWAYS warm and welcoming! Cute little coffee nook to sit down and enjoy your treat with a cup of coffee or a good book. It truly is a great location! Go check them out!!

The most stellar cookies and treats we've found in NYS, and we've been to close to 40 so far, so our searching is over! Drove nearly 3 hours to try this place, and boy was it worth it! It was impossible not to walk out with the 3 big boxes we packed full of cookies and cupcakes. Raspberry thumbprint, coconut cream pie, molasses and lemon cookies were HUGE, and the pumpkin cream sandwich cookie was like a throwback to when we were kids but so much better, and so much bigger than the pictures even show. Everything was fresh and being baked and frosted right in front of us, and everyone doing it was smiling and so friendly! My only regret is honestly not getting one of everything! I ate half of the raspberry and a bite of the coconut cream cookies as we were driving home and I was stuffed already, they really are that big. The halfmoons were so thick with such delicious frosting it was like heaven! The whole vibe of the place was so charming and whimsical, it felt like being in a bakery in a foreign country. Don't pass this place up! Planning another trip up just to restock and I simply cannot wait. I'm a fairly good baker, but this magical bakery puts me to shame, no doubt about it! Highly recommend, no matter where you live, the drive is so worth it, you won't be disappointed. 🥰 (oh btw the lemon bars were stuff dreams...

I WAS STUNNED!!!

Now let me tell you, I only go out of my way to leave a review on google if a place is completely memorable and outstanding…so for me to be here means this place is IT!!! Whether it’s the service, the atmosphere, or the substance—if it’s great I feel like the world deserves to know. Cravings has all three of these components. The building has such charm, when I was walking up to it with my kiddos I was like WOW…how cute, and then was completely taken aback upon stepping inside. It was like we were transported into some cute costal cafe. The ambience was warm, welcoming, woman-filled, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and GORGEOUS!!! I work at Jayflora, making the flower bouquets for cravings but had never actually been in person to have a treat. I was wowed beyond belief. I got the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, the lemon crackle cookie, the dark chocolate coconut macaroon, and the raspberry cheesecake cupcake to taste and share. The lemon was a 10/10, absolute best indulgence might be my new vice…and the rest fell right in tow close to perfection as well. These towns need more small business like this. I hope it thrives and the owner gets everything they wished for and both sides of the employees pillows are cold at night. 10/10 across the board...

I’ve supported Cravings for a long time, but after my recent experiences, I feel incredibly disappointed and disrespected as a customer. I tried one of the new $14 salads—no protein, just lettuce, a few veggies, and a so-called “homemade” Italian dressing. I genuinely enjoyed the dressing and asked for the recipe three times out of curiosity. On the third time, I was told she wouldn’t share it—but would be willing to sell it to me. That response rubbed me the wrong way. In today’s economy, that kind of cold and transactional reply from a small business I’ve supported feels off-putting and greedy.

On top of that, I tried a “tiramisu cookie” that had no coffee flavor, no mascarpone, nothing that even remotely resembled tiramisu. It tasted like a plain sugar cookie, and honestly, it felt like false advertising. If you’re going to market something as tiramisu, it should at least reflect the flavors of what you’re promising. Between that and the secretive dressing situation, I can’t help but question whether the dressing is even homemade—or if it’s just bottled and marked up.

These experiences have made me lose trust in the brand and what it claims to represent. I won’t...
