I placed my order on the app for a pickup, I stopped to picked up my order at 6:12pm, when they app said it would be ready. When I tried to enter the building, the door was locked. There were 3 employees sitting at a table just watching, didn't say anything, they just got up and walked away. After having a conversation with a couple that was in their vehicle eating in the parking lot, they had told me that they were short staffed and had been turning customers away so they locked the door so that no one could enter. They also said that one of the employees had even gotten in a huge argument with a woman because he refused to serve her. So I decided to go through the drive thru to pick up my order. When I got to the speaker, I told the woman that I had placed a mobile order and she told me I needed to enter the store to pick it up. I told her that I just tried to do that and the door was locked. She told me that it was now unlocked and that I would have to enter the store to get my order. Why couldn't she just say pull up and I will grab it for you. I didn't even need an apology, just wanted my food. So I had to wait to be able to exit the drive thru line so that I could pull back around the building, park again, and get out of my vehicle to enter the building. When I walked in, there was another person at the counter, and no employees to be seen. No one had greeted either of us. I simply grabbed my order and left. The couple from earlier was still in their vehicle and had told me that apparently 4 of the employees had just left to go to an emergency call. September 2024 update: I keep coming back to this KFC in the spirit of Wakanda (and the half-off sandwich deal) and although the cashiers are usually very kind, the chicken genuinely gives me depression. That first bite is mmm yay chicken sandwich, the second bite is mmm hunger, the third bite is wait where did the sauce go, and the fourth bite to completion is just begging for the experience to be over. How the heck does KFC have bad chicken?? What even is life anymore??? Hopefully Khamala fixes this or there's no point in having a black president.
APRIL 2025 update: I called them saying I had a random item instead of a pot pie and they said, "oh yeah we were out of pot pie so we just substituted it with what everyone usually gets instead". I was too dumbfounded to even be mad about it, I just said "okay, have a great day" like a good little boy.
I tried to order the pot pie AGAIN a different day, (yes, I know what the definition of insanity is), but I noticed it wasn't in the bag, and the cashier said "oh yeah we're all out" and when asked about a refund back on the card they told me I would have to call or go on the website to request a refund.
Now, I am proud of my black heritage and will tolerate abuse, neglect, and disrespect in hopes of a juicy piece of chicken. But I will NOT let kfc send me home with a homework...
Read moreI wish I could give this a zero star review. I rarely write reviews but I am shaking after the awful experience I just had at this location. When we pulled up to the drive thru speaker, we had to repeat our order NUMEROUS times. We asked for 4 chicken little sandwiches and a chicken nugget combo. When we got to the window, the total was $14. That didn’t sound right so we double checked the order, we were rang up for 2 chicken littles and the combo. When we asked for the 2 other chicken littles to be added(even though we ordered these at the speaker) he rang up us for 2 large chicken sandwiches. When we saw this, we asked for the right items to be rung up and were told they couldn’t??? I’ve never heard of an establishment not having the ability to cancel out a transaction. Anyways, we were offered food to makeup the price difference… we didn’t need any extra food. We ordered what we wanted to eat…we ended up agreeing to getting more food and they wouldn’t even offer us the equivalent of what they charged!!!! The manager then screamed at us telling us to leave the drive thru or he would call the police???? We had a fussy baby in the back seat, we were just trying to get the money refunded that was wrongfully rang up after making several mistakes already. A call to corporate has been made and I’m writing this review in an attempt to get someone’s attention because of how disgusting that entire experience was.
