For our family roadtrip, we were staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites next door so Old Mexico was an easy dinner pick, not only because of its proximity but we love authentic Mexican food. They do have their own free parking lot if you're driving over. This place itself looks decently clean with a nice vibe inside thanks to the decor. The employees don't speak the most fluent English but enough to get by with your dining experience. Once we sat down, we were offered menus and drinks (we just got water all around) as well as chips and salsa! I have personally never been to a spot where they offer you complimentary chips and salsa the way an American restaurant gives you bread and butter, so this was a really happy surprise for us. I loved that the tortilla chips were very light and crispy, without any added grease and not too strong on the corn notes. We ordered three different things to share since we were told the portions were large (and I would agree), inclusive of their dinner combos #1 (with rice) and #9, as well as their quesadillas appetizer. The quesadillas were definitely the star of the night, with their very well seasoned chicken which also had a nice char to them! They were also stuffed with ingredients. It came with a side of pico de gallo but we were sad to hear that they had run out of sour cream! That was definitely a first. The enchiladas were unfortunately not the best I've had - they could have had more stuffing and the flavor wasn't as to my liking as ones I've had previously. I definitely recommend their chicken over their beef items if you're ever debating between the two. Their tacos were nice and big, with a very crispy shell and not too strong or a corn flavor. This place takes both cash and card, but they do not have portable credit card machines so they do need to take your card over to swipe, then give you a receipt for tips and a signature - it's been a while since I've had to do that but it isn't too much trouble. On your way out, they also have mints for your enjoyment. We were greeted on our way out.

We order from here these steak street tacos constantly especially with the covid-19 quarantine going on! I ordered three orders of steak street tacos and a kids meal quesadilla with fries which cost me almost $70! This is what I received for all three orders of my steak street tacos! Only three tacos in each container when there is supposed to be four tacos per order! Then the threes tacos I did order looked like this enough steak maybe for one taco, no sauce, and no lemon or lime when I called and asked for extra! I called the restaurant 5x to talk to an owner or manager and talked to Francisco each time that would not tell me his name till 5th call and told me that there was no owner or manager for me to talk to! He basically told me and Ithaca to go that delivered this order and were also sent pics of food that I was asked out on my money and they would not replace my order!! Ithaca 2go told me they did not agree and were in agreement that this order that was delivered to me that I paid almost $70 for was unacceptable!! Do not order from here because obviously they do not care about the quality of food they deliver customers of the restaurant! Then you are denied the opportunity to let a supervisor or manager know what the quality of food their customers are being delivered for the money they barely have to pay in this difficult time this world is going through! They don’t care!!

To start with good thing; our waitress was very kind person. Chips were fresh and warm. The portions were also decent size. However, the service was far too slow. We waited at the door for about 10 minutes just to be seated. After that waited for another 10 min. for the drinks. The other tables around us were left dirty. No one from the restaurant came to clean up them during our dinner and it was really disturbing. We even carried our own empty plates to those table since no busboy/girl was coming to help us. In terms of food, guacamole was slightly better than the food. We ordered 2 shrimp tacos which was half way burned. My steak fajitas were not good either. The meat was hard and lean. It was not easy to chew. Price vs quality is definitely not matching. At the end we waited another 10 minutes to ask for the check. Overall, the restaurant needs more staff and increase the food quality. As consensus, we decided to give 3 star because we think the current rating is too generous. If you had real Mexican food, you would understand the difference.

Staff was polite, we suspect our server is new to the industry. Very sweet young lady. Note we're used to west coast Mexican restaurants which have different regional influences. We were also there at a later hour closer to closing time than main dining hours. Picture remembered part way into our meal. Our food was served very quickly. The menu has several options for vegetarians and vegans in addition to the usual line up for omnivores. Guacamole was delicious. Chips nice crunch. The courtesy salsa was okay but nothing outstanding. Hubby enjoyed his street tacos, although he did have to hunt down his limes on the plate. Other than the black beans being less seasoned and having more liquid than I'm used to the vegan fajitas were very delicious. Made even more so by adding a hint of salsa Verde and guacamole. The ensalade served on the side was refreshing.

My friend and I came to Old Mexico Restaurant & Cantina. It is a nice little taco place to eat and chill. It was Taco Tuesday and the specials was dollar tacos which were only beef and chicken. The decor was well decorated. I had ordered a Mango Margarita and Tequila Shrimp Taco platter. My friend ordered three beef tacos. It was simple as can be. It was in a flour tortilla with lettuce, sharp cheddar cheese And beef. It looked like a Taco Bell soft taco. I wasn’t expecting to see that. The mango margarita was really good perfectly made. Just the right amount of tequila. The Tequila Shrimp Tacos were really tasty and flavorful. The only problem it wasn’t served with limes on the side. I had to go to the bar and ask the waiter for some. I would have given a 5 star but there needs some work on the plating presentation.

This Mexican restaurant is really nice, and the staff is friendly. Our server provided good service, and the food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. The only slight disappointment was with the loaded nachos. Even though we requested them without meat, they didn't have the melted cheese that I usually love. Despite that, they still tasted good, and adding some melted cheese would have made them even better. The ambiance of the restaurant gave off a great Mexican vibe, and the restroom was clean. There's plenty of free parking available for cars, but they don't offer free Wi-Fi. As a nice touch, they have mint candies outside that you can take when leaving the restaurant. Overall, expect to spend around $25-30 per person for a lunch or dinner.
