Pat's Submarines — Restaurant in City of Lackawanna

Went there for first time. Ordered steak sub and italian sausage sub. Italian sausage was good, but steak sub very bland with no taste and bun was hard & burned. Looked at prices online showed 8.99 for each sub + taxes. I figured out with taxes 8.75% total 19.55 before i went to pick up the food. Went to side window gave name and order said another few minutes. I asked if i could pay now guy who was friendly said no easier to do later which i thought was strange since no one in front or behind me. He signaled to me in my car that order was done went to window asked how much guy who i assume was the owner said will call it 20.00 even. i paid him he handed me the food and menu with it. I asked if menu prices were current he replied yes. When i got home check menu prices see if increased from online but they were the same. So he purposedly over charged me by .45 cents. That isn't much money but it is the principal of it. Felt he must do that regularly i will not return based...

There French fries here are amazing! The Cajun Fish Fry was absolutely incredible. They serve a large portion of tartar sauce. Unlike other places where you have to pay for extra tartar sauce. The coleslaw was great and I don’t even like coleslaw! It was inexpensive as well. I only paid $14 for it! They gave me a large portion of golden crispy French fries and coleslaw. Other places I would have paid $20 or more for a small portion of tartar sauce, and two other sides. The new owner Patrick is very friendly and knows how to run the restaurant. A very professional and friendly man. Knowledgeable on how to make his customers happy. Great personality and nice person to chat with. The atmosphere here is incredible. It seems like the restaurant is very proud of Buffalo as they have a lot of Buffalo and Sports memorabilia inside the restaurant. Definitely a nice family-friendly...

So, this used to be an ice cream shop. I'm so glad it's Pats submarines now! The food is great, fresh, and hot. There are tons of add ons: bacon, sauces, cheeses... it's the best chicken finger sub in the southtowns- idc. They know what they're doing! And inside, there's awesome sports paraphernalia, so cute, organized abd still clean! It was the gretzky photo for me! True 716 food, from a local buffalo fan, locals know. I want to try their fish fry next. And freek chicken souvlaki, cuz if they're executed as well as their subs, they're gunna be solid. Will deffinetly be back. Ps their soups are amazing too! The beef barley is on point. And the staff, a welcoming younger woman with red hair, was so professional and helpful with menu questions. If she didn't know, she asked. And she'd only been there a month?! She's going places w that work ethic and customer...
