Steve's Pig & Ox Roast — Restaurant in City of Lackawanna

I use to love this place. CUSTOMERS BECAREFUL WHERE YOU SIT IN THIS RESTAURANT!!! I placed a dine in order for a soda, roast beef sandwich, and curly fries. Paid for my order went to sit down in a booth to wait for my food. When I sat in the booth a spring popped up out of the seat and ripped my dress pants. I said to the staff you need to make that booth safe before someone else rips their pants or gets cut. The worker apologized, never offered to replace my ripped pants. Even worse the worker didn't even block off the booth until it could be repaired. Picture attached of cushion where spring popped through. When I received my food, the roast beef was cold and the roll was stale. The curly fries were good. This restaurant seems to be clean. I have reviewed alot of restaurants fairly, and this is the first I have ever ripped pants on defect/worn seating. This is my reason for one star rating. I am really disappointed, this use to be a great place to get a roast beef sandwich. Maybe the ownership can work on new seating, and producing a warm sandwich on a fresh roll. I haven't been to Steve's Pig & Ox Roast Rest. in a long time. I really missed going there. I went today and was not disappointed. I had the Roast Turkey Sandwich. It was delicious! So moist! It's not processed turkey either. It is a casual atmosphere. Very friendly. You order at the counter and pick up your food. They are famous for beef on weck but also have pork, and lamb. I noticed they have fish and chips. They also sell beer. Their hand cut curley fries are THE best! I noticed they also have sweet potato fries. They have so many things on their menu now. There are desserts too. All homemade pies and ice cream. I love that place! I will not wait again to return. They have ample parking..handicapped entrance in the front,...

Go to Steve's...not only for the best roast beef on weck you've ever eaten, but for roast turkey, roast lamb, and roast pork, the most generous helping of fresh cut curly fries you've ever been served anywhere (delicious, incidentally), and much more, including salads, chicken tenders, and even poutine.

The proprietor, Steve, and his staff are hospitable, charming, and aim to make their customers feel very much at home.

Steve's has a very clean, spacious dining room with a vintage retro atmosphere, plus a great patio to enjoy during the warm weather months.

You can even watch the beef, pork, and lamb being roasted on spits in the roasting room.
