When we arrived at the restaurant it was very relaxing. It had a very friendly vibe and there were people chatting and waiting for their food. We ordered our food and an appetizer and waited 15 mins and then some man went up to a DJ booth in the back of the restaurant where we were seated and started just blasting music like we were at a club. There was a couple sitting right next to the speakers before he arrived and he didn't even bother saying anything to them before he started playing. They ended up leaving the restaurant and he didn't take any sort of hint and just kept blasting music. There was a family that was also sat next to the speaker who had kids who were closing their ears because the music was too loud and he still didn't take the hint. He kept coming on the mic like we were at a club and we couldn't even talk anymore at our table we were having to send texts or yell to communicate with each other. I would have been okay with the vibe if it was 2pm on a Sunday. We then waited another 25 mins, now 40 mins in total and still hadn't recieved our appetizer. We ended up asking the waitress for the food to-go and waited another 5 mins and she brought us our check, keep in mind we had still recieved no food. I ended up telling my gf to leave and I walked to the counter and asked where our food was and if they could just remove the appetizer because we still hadn't even recieved anything yet. The waitress apologized and removed the appetizer for the meal and asked me to pay the total at the counter. Keep in mind it's been close to 50 mins and I haven't even seen any food leave the kitchen. I asked if I could have our food before I paid for it and waited another 5 mins before I was given the food. The food was decent but overall the whole experience was so terrible that I have to give it 1 star. I wish that the DJ would have looked around the room to see how people were reacting to his music and would have atleast had the courtesy to turn it down a little out of the respect of the people sitting less than a foot away from...
Read moreI recently visited Alondra Mexican Restaurant and had a great experience. The service was excellent—the staff was really friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
The food was delicious, though I didn’t get a chance to try everything I wanted. The drinks were good, though I found them to be a little on the weak side for my taste.
What I really loved was the atmosphere. We went on a Friday, and they had live music, which gave the place such a fun, energetic vibe. People were up dancing, and you could tell everyone was enjoying themselves.
The only downside was that the music was a little too loud at times, but it didn’t take away from the fun. I do wish they stayed open later because we were really getting into the groove when they started closing up, but I guess that’s common around here.
All in all, it was a great night, and I’d...
Read moreFresh. Healthy. AND Delicious! I am vegan but my boyfriend is not so it is not always easy to find a place we both enjoy. We decided to give this new family owned place a try tonight and we were not disappointed! Since the food is cooked to order it takes a little longer to get your food but the chef provided us salads on the house and even whipped me up an off the menu vinaigrette for my salad. The salad was perfectly dressed and everything else was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were cooked just right! Not overcooked and soggy but not underdone either...perfectly aldente the way veggies are meant to be. We both loved our food and...
