Loved this place when we first started going 6 months ago. Soon found that although the food is great most of the time the service and quality falls to pieces when they have parties larger than 6. We took my son their for his 16th birthday along with 10 year old daughter. Seated at 8:45 at the only table available due to large parties at tables, waited ages for food which didn't all come out together, the hibachi rice and brown rice, which you pay EXTRA for didn't come out at all. When it did the rest of the meal was cold and was sent back to be warmed. It came back and it was so hot it had clearly been nuked in the microwave. Add in that there is a small bar, down two steps adjoining the dining area and the language from some of the patrons would turn your hair grey. The manager did apologise but said we should have asked for different seating away from the bar! What!!!! They seated us, not our job to point out there were no other tables. She offered to move us, by then it was 10pm and I was in no mood to pick my meal up and move to finish it. Ridiculous. She offered to carry my food for me! Which part didn't she get? I don't want to move 3/4 of the way through service. Go tell the two guys at that bar to modify their language or leave! It's a restaurant not a gin mill. She then said "Well it is late" as if that excused the foul mouth of her bar guests! Sadly will not be going back as they obviously do not value their regular customers. Would NOT recommend taking young kids there because if you run into the same problems. It's clear that bar trade is far more important than diners and your kids will get a crash course in the F word. I would suggest to management that you put a notice on the door when you are "very busy" telling your diners to "be prepared to wait, get poor service, cold food and bad language"..."don't bring you kids in after 8pm" and did ! forget to mention "The restaurant is...
Read moreOk, every so often we take a break from Mr Sushi and come to Osake. Osake has the red snapper entree that is really delicious and a decent sushi bar. We are sushi connoisseurs so we know great sushi. Here's some tips to up your customer base and ultimately increase your earnings. Update your interior it too tight, too dark (wrong lighting) if your bar was an extension of the sushi bar you would see more foot traffic immediately. Your nice bar but is hidden!? Your store front is not inviting you need to make it more appealing that draws people in side nice soft lighting, remove the partition at the front door, something more up to date. Your sushi chef is not engaging, I never heard him say a half of a word , ever. A smile would help, even a hello. The wait staff has improved now that you have hired outside of your culture. I find the wait staff engaging and personable, more aligned with your customer base. Great change! The sushi is good, more effort can go into your food presentation, the price point is a plus. On certain nights have live entertainment, that caters to a particular age group Friday and Saturday (adult professionals) Sunday (families) hire a Dj, hire someone to play the keyboard you need some entertainment to get folks in there and talking about you. You can totally increase your profit margin by at least 20% with a few changes.

Read moreWe tried to order from O Sake because they have pretty decently priced sushi.
Unfortunately for delivery when we asked initially they said it was 30 minutes. After an hour, we called to make sure they had the number to call us back in case the delivery was sent.
We waited for 1hr and a 45 minutes for the delivery and still nothing, so we decided to call again. Being nice, we asked if it was on it's way. The lady said yes it's being delivered in a rude and angry manner and hung up the phone right away.
I have friends that are restaurant owners and also waiters and waitresses. I understand how they feel when customers are being rude or stuck up and yelling at them. But we were asking nicely, in case they didn't have the number, or if something happened. We never yelled at them to say that it's been almost 2 hours and delivery hasn't arrived.
To be rude about it and angry at a customer is no way to deal business. It's extremely unprofessional. When the delivery did arrive they had one of the waitress deliver...
When we looked at the order, there was one roll missing or they changed the order as well. I called and nicely asked it there was one missing. The lady said there wasn't and hung up the phone. Extremely rude and not customer friendly at all. This is ridiculous.
Never going back here to eat or order...
