JUST LIKE HOME — Restaurant in City of Mount Vernon

I can still and will always remember November 13th. This was one of the most important day of my life my wedding day. I went to the restaurant to speak with Mr. McKnight of this my special day about 2 weeks f before the due date, this is so because the first time I ate his meal I felt as I was floating on dry land the food was off the chain. From then I told him that whenever I am getting married he have to do the catering for me. He was excited and happy for me. All he said was write what I wanted on the menu and he would do the rest. Wow wow wow what can I say the food was one in a million. The guests enjoy ever bit of what was provided and wanted to know more about his business. I must compliment Chef Mcknight and team for doing a great job, preparing a variety of scrumptious dishes six days per week to satisfy our hungry appetite. Eating at the Yard Pot Restaurant was a great experience. I was very satisfied with the quality of food and the amount served at an affordable in cost. I enjoyed the curry goat with rice and vegetables and oxtail dishes! I cannot leave that out. The Yard Pot Restaurant NEVER weigh their food as most restaurants do, which was quite impressive. How could I forget to mention their pastries fruit cakes, carrot cakes and healthy natural juices that entices your taste bud. You would of thought the safest thing to buy on the menu was fried chicken right ?? …WRONG!!!!!!!!!…I am so disappointed…the only thing that was good on my plate was the fried plantain…the curry goat gravy was so nasty and the rice and peas was repulsive…I will neverrrrrrrrrrr order from there again and to top it all off they barely gave me any chicken for my large order..it was mostly rice ..they lucky I had to go to work or I would of brought it ba k an complained …do not...
