I ordered a few weeks ahead for a small basic cake with chocolate frosting and two different cookies, 4 dozen each. They definitely heard me say several times, “one layer, 7” yellow cake with choc frosting”, also 4 dozen SMALL black/white cookies and 4 dozen lemon cookies with confect sugar powder. They did tell me the cake and possible the cookies would come via Nanuet and they would bring it all up for me. We were picking up on a Friday morning in our way to our daughters wedding in Woodstock. I made clear this is for my daughter wedding and she wanted a tiny cake to just cut with her new husband- not to hand out. She wanted to decorate with some natural flowers she had. On Tuesday that week they called and got Nanuet on the phone also, to tell me NO, I “needed” to order a layer cake so I asked my daughter what she wanted for a filling, “rasberry” was what she wanted. Well, pick up was CRAZY!! No mini black and whites at all, a decorated two layer cake and the lemon cookies were different than the ones we saw in the case. They “gave” us 6 regular size black and whites to replace and charged us 80.00 for all of it!! I was floored!!! This is not wa hat we ordered at all. It was upsetting but it was my girl’s wedding so I did not complain until afterwards. My daughter in law smoothed the cake and took off all of the decorations so that I could put the pretty real flowers on the cake. When cut, the cake not only had raspberries but also some white “stuff” in it (Maybe cream cheese?? We have no idea.) they got cute pic of cutting it but no eating due to NOT WHAT THEY WANTED . I am floored… We will be stopping in to complain in person but this week we also lost a family member so it has been a bad week for us after the high of...

I’ve walked in here multiple times. It’s always a ok interaction not really inviting in the sense not even a hi how are you doing. Service: I’ve received two incorrect cakes before, another time they didn’t deliver the cake to the correct location, another time they put the wrong frosting or failed to acknowledge they don’t put that frosting on that cake, called the incorrect number because the girl wrote it wrong even though we went over it twice on the phone to tell me they can’t make the cake in time.

Food: great taste, just sometimes they don’t tell you if you can put a certain frosting on or not so make sure you ask them to confirm

Nothing like the Rockland Bakery in Nanuet where everything is fresh all the time due to the high turnover. The pastries here lately are always stale and the cookies and biscotti old and dry. My wife took 1 bite of the Napolitan, and a piece of chocolate cake she got, spit it out and threw everything out. The 3 kinds of biscotti we got tasted like they were a few months old and had no taste. They let stuff sit too long. Maybe they should make smaller batches and pastry trays.
