Ambiance was good but the food left a lot to be desired. We had the poutine for an appetizer (which we had at woodside before they moved, merged with Fireside and rebranded) and it was nothing like they had before. It was more like eating a loaded baked potato than poutine. The gravy was good but the potatoes were smashed red potatoes which they brand as potato confit but are different than what they called potato confit at Woodside and not enough toppings to cover all the potatoes. The steak wasn't great it was pretty chewy and it had the same potatoes as the appetizer had. It was 6 smashed red potatoes with no seasoning. It felt lazy. There was way too much balsamic glaze on the steak so that's all you could taste. The seasonal veggies were actually summer squash and zucchini so not seasonal veggies and they were soggy and only flavor I could taste was garlic. The blackberry bourbon sour drink was only half full (which I wonder if that was because I asked for no egg white if that's how they made the sour) so in the future I will stick to the Moscow mule which was my first drink and was a full drink and good. We will be back to try the pizza but do not plan to get any other entrees or appetizers after this experience. I think the move to North Union was a good move but they completely missed the mark on the rebrand from the weird metal door, the red eatery sign which is jarring and looks like the CVS sign and the name itself. Eatery is a bad name for a restaurant because of SEO. If you google it all you get is other restaurants in the area and you have to scroll a lot thru the google listings to find this one. I hope they fix some of their issues because we really enjoyed Woodside...

Overall 3.5 stars out of 5. Our first time won't be our last, but we have some constructive criticism. This place is nice and trendy right down town in Olean. Lovely interior and wonderful service. It was very clean and large inside with a large bar as well. Lunch menu is just pizza, salad, and drinks which was disappointing, but we drove an hour to eat there so we decided to stay. Our waitress was very pleasant, tentative, and got us drink refills. We tipped her 20%. The stuffed banana pepper pizza was a 5-5.5 out of 10 score. It was served cold, had thick unflavored crust, had an almost flavorless sauce they went light on, and had hardly any mozzarella cheese. Neither of us ate the crust and I asked for red pepper flakes, ranch, salt, and parm to try to spice it up to eat it. We took home a few slices for a friend to try, he took a bite and threw them away. It's not gross, it just didn't meet our expectations and didn't hold a candle to Buffalo's Santora's or Lockport's Molinario's stuffed banana pepper pizza. The beef on weck pizza was an 8.5 out of 10 score. It could have used more cheese, flavored crust, and a bit more kick to the horseradish sauce. We ate every slice of that and only left the bland thick crust behind. The beef was perfect and it was overall very good. This pizza was served hot unlike the other. We will absolutely get the beef on weck pizza again, but with extra cheese. The coffee was 10 out of 10...

Recommended by family and celebrating my Birthday 2/22/25 my wife chose to take me to dinner here. She ordered a Long Island Ice Tea, For myself I will have a Mountain Dew, Sorry no Mountain Dew, Okay I will take a root beer, We make our own root beer and some people like it and some don't! Well I will try it, Sorry no root beer, so remembering what my wife had ordered I replied I will have an Ice Tea, Sorry we don't have any Ice Tea ? Now I'm a bit puzzled so I asked what do you have? We have Sprite, good enough I'll take it!!! I ordered the Wagyu Beef $$$ medium rare. My Wife ordered just a steak prepared the same way. I,ve had my own meat shop and served as a meat manager in a grocery store. The beef that I was served was in noway Wagyu ! My steak as well as my wife's steak appeared to look like a flank steak!!! I always said if your going to serve a tough steak you should at least have a knife sharp enough to slice it. They did provide Cutco knifes but the steaks were as tough as shoe leather!!! Only thing missing was the laces. We tried our best to finish our meal but we both had to throw in the towel and get a box and bring home 1/2 of our steaks each. Our German Shepherd enjoyed his hundred dollar treat. Will I Ever Come Back ? It was a joint decision and the verdict stands as...

This was our first time having dinner at The Eatery. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband and I shared the Tomahawk steak dinner. And we also both ordered the baked French Onion Soup. The staff were all wonderful and helpful and accommodating. The Hot Toddy drink I got was delicious and perfect for a chilly evening. My husband got the Old fashioned he enjoyed that. The Tomahawk steak flavors were very good, and the "squished" crispy potatoes all I can say is 😋!!!I , I also enjoyed the carrots that were the seasonal vegetables.I definitely think once this brand new restaurant works out all the quirks they will be a 5 star restaurant it's a beautiful place with all the exposed brick and unique and beautiful features it has. We will be back 😋 and definitely recommend.

This place is new but you'd think they've been there for years because everything was flawless. My wife had the salmon and I had the mahi-mahi and they were both amazing! We have had the pizza already and it's the best I've had in the area, even beating the local favorite Rena's IMO. The staff were all friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is spacious and tastefully decorated --you can tell they spent a lot of time making sure everything was exactly the way they wanted it before opening the doors and I've heard through the grapevine that there is more to come! Overall 10/10! This is our new favorite place and we will be back to try the rest of the menu for sure!
