Gisselle's Bakery — Restaurant in City of Poughkeepsie

I took a chance on this bakery. I'm so glad I did. The owners were all so friendly. They greeted me as soon as I walked in, and continued to engage in conversation the whole time I was there. I came in for the Rosca de Reyes hoping they had one. I was delighted to see they had a bunch and 3 different sizes. The bread was absolutely delicious. So lite and the flavor was perfect. My daughter in law is from Mexico and we've tried to find a bread that taste like what her grandmother makes. I'm a baker and the recipes I've tried were not the same. She was so happy when she tasted this bread. We couldn't stop eating it. Carefully cutting to avoid the babies! Lol. Needless to say we will definitely be stopping in again to try the other...

Fresh baked delicious sweet breads. I'm so glad I stopped in .. the selection of treats is almost overwhelming, but I managed to pick 3 and was not disappointed by any of them. The sweetness is just right, but the flaky pastry and breads are truly artful. You should stop next time you go by - park in Dollar General if you don't want to park on the street, but there aren't any parking meters here, so either way the parking is free. I highly recommend getting your next fresh baked treat...
