I'm not even done eating and I felt obligated to review this joint. I'm a pizza snob from LES & Brooklyn who started working in a pizza joint well below the legal working age. Anyone complaining about this place has terrible taste in pizza and should stick to dominos or pizza hut or wherever the eff they get their garbage pizza from. If you care about pizza, this is your new place. Look at the paper the pizza box is lined with, it isn't cheap wax paper... It's designed to keep the crust crispy! Their menu touts top quality imported ingredients and it shows! The crusts were thin, consistent, and had no problem retaining their structural integrity. Yes, the outer crust appears charred and it is because they cook the pizza at a very high temp on purpose which produces a very distinct crust that you can't get at 400 degrees. It's crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. Not dense like some frozen digiorno trash. Perfect ratio of cheese to sauce with evenly placed toppings that don't overload the crust. This is my new go-to pizza joint. If you even remotely enjoy quality pizza, you should love this place. The vibe here is something unseen in decades, even in the lower east side, which is featured in many of the framed pictures that decorate the walls. Just as impressive was the carefully curated selection of music in the juke box...yeah I said juke box. Top it all off with friendly staff makes this place a no-brainer. Cut them some slack, they just opened and kinks are expected but the pizza is undeniably next level.

If you're picking up and paying with card the machine immediately prompts you to pay with a tip ranging from 15-25%. It's a pickup order. They didn't really provide an additional service. So that's kind of annoying. The overall price is is extremely expensive. 1 pepperoni pie and 1 order of fried mozzarella will set you back $42. The food is delicious. Everything I've ordered has been excellent. Great side orders, the toppings are tasty, the pie itself is outstanding. I would order from this place every week if they had more affordable options. If they stick to this menu pricing, they should definitely offer combo deals and/or coupons. This time around I ordered "Mama's Meatballs and Ricotta" as an appetizer, which includes three meatballs, priced at $15.🙄 Also 1 order of Fried Mozzarella, for $13. And a pepperoni pie, for $26 ($21 + $5 topping.) **They only offer the one size for pizza pies, which are 18 inches. This visit I ordered 2 appetizers and a single topping pie: just under $60. (plus that unnecessary gratuity charge I couldnt maneuver around at the counter.) *It wouldn't be fair to subjectively state that this restaurant is overpriced. So I'll end this review with price comparisons of your options from the top 3 local competitors. Gino's: LG Pie $13.50 + $2.75 topping. Mozz Sticks $6.95 Giacomo's: LG Pie $15.40 + $2.50 topping Mozz Sticks: $9.15 Emiliano's: LG Pie $15.95 Mozz Sticks: $9.50 *** Emiliano's has coupons in their to-go menus, including $2.00 off large pizza and $2.00 off any $20 purchase.

I’m still raving about Pippinelli's to anyone who’ll listen. Walking in, the place just feels right—cozy yet stunning, like someone took all the best vibes from classic New York pizza joints and wrapped them into one spot. The decor’s got character without trying too hard, and it instantly puts you at ease. Fantastic food - I had the meatballs, and they were unreal—juicy, flavorful, and served with this ricotta I’m convinced was homemade. I don’t even usually like ricotta, but I scraped the plate clean. Then there’s their rice balls—stunning bites with a subtle heat that’s perfectly balanced by this cool, creamy blue cheese dip. It’s a combo I didn’t know I needed in my life. And the pizza? Incredible. The crust is this amazing mix of delicate, almost cracker-like crispness and that classic NY chewiness. In Barstool pizza review terms: zero flop, even with “wet” toppings like sausage and sweet onions holding it down. The staff were the cherry on top—super warm and welcoming to me and my family, like we’d been regulars forever. Pipinelli’s is a home run. If they keep this up, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the go-to pizza spot around here. Do yourself a favor and check it out—you won’t regret it.

The place is super clean and has a really cute vibe. They had quite a number of employees and not one greeted us so we proceeded to ask if we could sit down. They have no table service so you go up and place your order. The kids ordered slices, my husband ordered a hero, and I ordered a pasta dish that I customized from what was on their menu. I asked if they could make me a dish of pappardelle with the chunky red sauce and a chicken cutlet on top. The young man asked the kitchen, they said it would be no problem so he wrote everything down. About 10 minutes later one of my sons two slices of pizza came out. They put olive oil and fresh cheese on everything that they make before serving and he did not like that so we requested replacement slices. 25 minutes later, they came. I also noticed people who arrived after us being served everything all at once. After another 25 minutes, go by, my other son's pizza came out. Now an hour in, I asked about my pasta. The young girl asks me what I ordered because she thinks it's done and she wants to go check. She never comes back. Another 15, 20 minutes my husband's sub comes out and I tell him to eat while it's hot. 20 minutes later I again inquire, this time of the young man who took our order. He says they ran out of pappardelle and they're making it now. Another 25 minutes I get up to go ask and the chef from the kitchen pops his head out and looks seriously irritated by me. He tells me that it takes a while for them to make the dish because they don't have it just waiting there, everything is made fresh. After another 20 minutes, and I kid you not, they come out with the pasta. Only the pasta. By this time I realized we have to leave because we were headed to a movie, I tell the young man that they forgot the chicken cutlet and to wrap everything up because we are leaving. I wound up taking two cold slices of pizza as we left. Surprisingly, no apology and they were about to charge me for the slices, which I thought given the circumstances was surprising. I heard this place was excellent so we decided to try it. The kids loved the pizza, my husband loved his hero, and I will definitely not order something that is not on the menu here again. So food good, service...
