D'Mangu Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Rochester

If your out of state or city do not go to this place at alllll I went I tried to have some fun we were interacting with people my friend got wasted, she didn’t go out in a very long time so I took her out to Rochester and thought this club was pretty nice and lit from looking at the website but it was not, the owner did not like my friend being to friendly with people and guys the guys were interacting with us something normal we were dancing we were laughing is a club so why not ? I took my friend to the bathroom to watch her because I wasn’t drunk I was tipsy! But while we were in the bathroom the owner and security the girl that acts like a man made their way in the bathroom and try to open my friends bathroom door luckily I was there and push the door and close it right back and yelled at them she was using the bathroom!!!!! I was confused of why they did that! Security tells us that my friend had to leave the club kus she was too friendly and the owner did not like her in her club she had to wait in the car till we finish our drinks! And that’s what we did she waited in the car and the guy that was talking with her came out confused of why she got kicked out ? And I explained to him why! He was still confused, So I go in try to finish my drink but I couldn’t because when I went to the bathroom security again goes in and tell me that I HAD TO LEAVE TOO and when I walk out all my drinks were gone thrown in the garbage I spend money in her bar and as a women she could’ve talked to us and gaved us a warning she was rude she didn’t care and wasn’t trying to hear anything. And for them to invade our privacy in the bathroom and try open our door is out of pocket and honestly I will be calling few lawyers and ask for some advise on what I can do since my privacy was invaded. Really unprofessional. Club was not what I expected and I rather go to POLO THEN THERE everyone at polo is on the same time of energy to have fun, meet ppl, & dance! If you like to dance and have fun I do not recommend this club at all you will get kicked out they want u standing in a corner keeping to your self....

⭐️⭐️ (2 stars) As a proud Latina woman in my late 30s, I was genuinely excited when I heard a Spanish restaurant had opened in the neighborhood. Walking into Mangu for the first time, I was impressed — the decor is beautiful and inviting, and I even had a nice conversation with a young man who helped decorate the place. The vibe had so much potential.

However, my experience with the service, especially at the bar, left me disappointed. I absolutely love piña coladas and was told they had them. But despite being the only customer there during a quiet time, the bartender refused to make one, saying it was too much work and I should come back another time. I did — and unfortunately, got the same response.

It feels like unless you show up with a big group or for the late-night party crowd, the service is simply not there. As someone who values friendliness and good customer service — and who supports local businesses regularly — I was really hoping for a better experience. The female staff didn’t seem welcoming, rarely smiled, and I never felt that warm, hospitable energy that I believe is the heart of any good restaurant.

I gave two stars because of the decor and potential, but honestly, I left each visit disappointed. I truly hope the service improves — especially for locals like myself who want to support something that reflects...

Was very disappointed with my experience. This past Tuesday some guys I worked with were very excited to try some more Dominican food after I had brought some food from El Sabor de la Isla restaurant. Since I could not afford to send a guy out to the city I thought it would have been a better choice to call D'mangú because it was closer. It was a disaster from the start. When ordering our food it took six times to finally get our order in. The girl on the phone never told us how much it was and only said that it would be done in 25mins and hung up. When calling back we had to basically reorder to see how much it would cost us. Long story short, we ordered at 1130am and didn't see our food until 1pm. After half an hour of one of us waiting for the food the girl came out from the kitchen stating they didn't have the type of meat we wanted and that if we wanted something else it would be another twenty mins. It was all very frustrating only to get our foods with everything all mixed up. No one got their food on they're scheduled break and probably ate it cold when they went home. Not even to mention we paid $90 for only 6 plates. Very disappointing and a mistake never to be repeated again. As for D'Mangú I won't be returning and I am pretty sure non of the other guys are interested in taking their business...
