Min's Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I ordered over $32 + $5 tip worth of food tonight. 2 orders of the chicken on a stick, a pint of sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice. The chicken on a stick was charred to the point of being burnt, it was overcooked and the sesame chicken was overcooked where it was dry and like chewing leather. I called them back & they sent a replacement order of the sesame chicken and an order of chicken on a stick. It came to me the same way, burnt, overcooked and dry. I was very disappointed. I didn't call them back again because they couldn't get it right on the second try. What would've they done on the third try??? At least the shrimp fried rice was edible. I have been ordering from Min's a long time and love their food. Never have I received food that was unedible. They must have a new chef. I won't be ordering from them anymore. At least until they get their old chef back or get someone else that knows how not to overcook the food. Cutting up the chicken into the same size pieces will help. Min's Chinese Restaurant is really closer to 3.75 then 4, but 3 would be disingenuous.

The good: The food was ordered online ahead of time for pickup. It was hot, fresh, and prepared in a very covid aware environment. All of the employees were wearing masks and the counter had a transparent screen between the employees and the customer. The food was also excellent for the pricing.

The bad: the restaurant is in an undesirable location, and it is cold where the food is picked up when I was there in the late fall. It was also dimly lit and at first, I was unsure if the establishment was even open.

The food was good and clean. I ordered shrimp with broccoli with white rice and pork fried rice with half chicken. Would have given 5 stars but only giving 4 stars because the half chicken looked like if it was an old chicken. I can tell due to how dark it was. But it still tasted good and was clean and not greasy. I ordered 10 min before they closed and really appreciated that they took my order so late and waited 3 min past their closing time till I arrived to get my food.
