This was a seriously disappointing brunch. We had heard good things from friends so decided to try this place out for brunch. I wish I could assume that we just got unlucky but some of the things can't be ignored. The wait for a Sunday was actually not bad just 10 minutes. The hostess was friendly and the environment was solid. The strikes started with the coffee. It was BAD. While it was a brown color and hot that's where the resemblance to coffee ended. I wasn't expecting starbucks but it was essentially just water. My wife and I were excited to try the offerings so we got the breakfast burger and the eggs benedict. My daughter ordered the m&m pancakes and a side of sausage. Our 9 year old son got the spicy chicken burrito. Our children's food came out first which wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't for the fact that the rest of our food didn't come out for a solid 7 minutes which is a long time to watch other people eat. Also my daughter's sausage was with the food that didn't come out which meant that she was just about finished eating by the time it came. My 9 year old son added more hot sauce to his burrito because he said it wasn't spicy. After that he said it just wasn't very good. I tasted it and agreed. It tasted, and I know this just sounds bitter, like canned chicken with egg beaters. It was bad enough that we asked them not to retry and he asked for just some toast. This is when our food arrived. We ordered the breakfast burger medium as we don't like under-cooked ground beef as a matter of course. Steak for sure should be medium rare. Our burger came out medium rare trending to rare. We sent it back right as they were bringing my son his toast. The eggs Benedict were fine although it was clear by the temperature of the piece of pineapple on the plate that they had spent too long under a heat lamp. When our burger came back it was clearly microwaved which wasn't surprising although it was disappointing since they also microwaved the egg which now lost all of its delicious runniness. The table next to us also had to send something back although I'm not sure why. The whole experience also took a really long time about an hour and a half. After a table has to send back 2 out of four meals a manager should really have come over and apologized but we didn't hear anything other than from our waitress. The breakfast burrito was removed from our bill. I really hope that this is a one off bad day situation but some of these things (like microwaving food) wreak of a systemic problem. ...
Read morethis is not the first time I’ve been unsatisfied with them and this time it’s really Enough for me. The first tim i went i order crab cakes that took 1hr and a half to get to me and when it did it had a long piece of hair in it and when i brought it to there attention they just looked at me like okay what’s wrong took 10 minutes to persuade her that it needed to be taken off the bill and i did not want anything else from the kitchen she assured me that the next time i come that it would be a better experience and also expressed how sorry she was. Fast forward until yesterday ANOTHER problem first of all there is one bathroom to share and it is DISGUSTING pee all on the floor etc . Now ! To the food i ordered scallops which were very good i must say and with that being said i ordered tuna Oscar looking for the same result the tuna had absolutely no seasoning on it and my spinach was hard which means it was not thoroughly cooked. Told the waitress she ALSO stared at me for 15 min like i was crazy when indeed i am accustomed to eating high end food and i know how it must taste especially if i am spending almost $30 on a entree . After she made me uncomfortable and gave me the cold shoulder i asked her may i change my meal seeing as though the first time i had came there i didn’t give them a chance, she continuously asks what’s wrong and i find myself repeating myself so at this point I’m upset . She finally takes my order and i order a New York strip MEDIUM-WELL which is also a $25 entree but i figured how can you mess that up? I look at my meal my potatoes are BLAND , Broccoli is BLAND ALSO MY STEAK IS BURNT TO A CRISP . Also not to mention my bill was $100 because neither entree was removed from the bill!!! I really can’t with this and I’m not going back it was unnecessary...
Read moreIf I could give -0 star I would. I was in town and decided to stop in for a Friday night fish fry with an old friend. From the ridiculous line at the door I should have known it was going to be a subpar experience. The restaurant was busy as expected and there seemed to be a wait along with a lot of NOISE almost impossible to hear. As we waited to be called by the young lady at check in, she immediately had to walk away to get help. As her helper arrived he couldn't quite understand who was next to be helped. He somehow either couldn't hear, when asked who was next? even though she and we adamantly exclaimed we were next to be assisted. Maybe it was too loud for him to hear or he was choosing to be color struck. He then asked us, once confirming how many where in our party of 2. We where then immediately told there's a 15-20 min wait. He asked for a number for a recall list, we promptly provided. He even tried to convince us that we would get a 'verification' text and we did. We then proceed outside as a few others was standing in line waiting to check in as well, surely they will need to wait, there's clearly a 20 min wait. We stood around outside as I took in the upgrades to the updated gentrified area. Much to my surprise the 3 groups of people didn't need to "wait"..they were seated immediately maybe they where the right color for seating right away and the tables for us colored folks wasn't available. Yeah that's it...as we decided on a different restaurant the night progressed and guess what we didn't get? A text to confirm our table was ready...hmmmm! You know I currently live in the sunshine state and have yet to experience this type of racism. We as humans must do better. We all will have to answer our maker one day. On how we treat each other. What...
