Wow, this food was absolutely fantastic. Like no joke. I found this place on accident the other day looking for a restaurant to take a friend and I saw Jamaican food. I was like well not today but this weekend I'll try it. Well..I tried it and I think I'm in love. I ordered Curry chicken , with cabbage and plantains. Jerk pork with the cabbage and plantains also . 2 dinners. The chicken was fall off the bone tender the cabbage was flavorful and the sweet plantains I saved for last cause that was almost like a dessert. I didn't even try the jerk Pork cause when I tasted the curry chicken I couldn't stop eating it. The owner was there cooking , super nice guy. This is a walk up counter service spot, to go place in the Knight of Columbus building. That's why I only rated the atmosphere as a 3 cause the was no dining room. But if I scored it by the smells in there it would of been a 10 star. I will update this review when I take down the jerk pork later. If ypu like things spicy make sure you ask for the brown hot sauce. It's delicious. This might just become my new go to spot. All the food is prepped to order so it's a good 15 to 20 mins while chef prepares so keep that in mind. But you can call an order in....
Read moreThe crazy Jamaican girl at our office was having a birthday so we wanted to surprise her with some awesome food! I knew that if it wasn’t authentic and good that she would not be happy.
When I called to order some food, they were out on a catering job. Theu wouldn’t be back into the restaurant until 130pm. No big deal, just a late lunch.
Well, remember that crazy Jamaican girl, she called when they were still on their catering job and the nicest man ever, Gregory, answered. After what seemed like arguing and yelling for five minutes, they became best friends, and he was able to bring us a bunch of food on her birthday earlier than expected!
Not only was the customer service super nice especially dealing with our “lovely” Jamaican friend it was SUPER delicious. Approved by multiple Jamaicans that it was legit and super good, especially the oxtail and curry goat, two things which I never would have ordered.
Thank you, Gregory for having the highest review Jamaican restaurant In the area. God bless you and many blessings to your business! I hope it grows...
Read moreI used to have to drive to Albany for some decent Jamaican food. Now, Thanks to Gregory, I can find delicious and authentic Jamaican food in Saratoga Springs!
We had two dinner entrees. They come with two sides each, as one dinner portion was enough for two meals! Putting it lightly, the portions are as generous as they are delicious. The curry chicken was so soft and tender, kicking with flavor that was spiced to perfection. If you are daring, try the Hot spice - but consider yourself warned, it packs a mega-punch. The Champagne soda went perfectly with the rice and peas that were cooked to perfection. The cabbage was great and the plantains are slap your momma good - the perfect combination of sweet and plantain (lol).
I can’t wait to try the desserts and that fish about to get it. Gregory is a talented Chef, with a passion for cooking authentic food. His food is next level, and you will really enjoy it. Eating there literally takes me back to Jamaica, I will...
