West Ave Chicken — Restaurant in City of Saratoga Springs

We thought we would try this place based on good reviews, but it was unfortunately a disappointment. I got the Nashville Mac n Cheese, which for some reason is not listed as a sandwich on their website. From the wording I thought it would just be a healthy portion of mac n cheese. It came with a huge piece of chicken, and some people might like that, but there were only two little pickles to add flavor. There was also no hot sauce added. The chips on the side were pretty meh, not salty or seasoned at all.

My partner got a half chicken, which he said was good, but the mashed potatoes were like butter mush. We also ordered the mac n cheese balls, and despite being listed in plural on both the website and ordering platform, it only came with one. It was pretty good, just not what we expected.

The biggest issue was the taquitos. It came with four taquitos and a pile of toppings on the side, but the shells were hard as a rock. I tried to eat one and it stabbed into my cheek and gums. I'm sorry to say, but I was not impressed with my first experience. I ordered the cowboy sandwich and a side of mashed potatoes, my coworker ordered the chicken dinner with Mac & cheese and Spanish rice. I work about 5 minutes away and when I sat down to eat, my sandwich was ICE COLD, and my mashed potatoes were barely warm. The sandwich comes with bbq sauce on it, but I asked for it on the side, but when I opened the box, my sandwich was slathered in it. The bbq sauce was very overpowering and it made my sandwich soggy. If the sandwich was hot and the sauce was on the side, like I asked, it might've been ok. The chips that came with the sandwich were soggy for the most part, but the ones that were crispy tasted alright. The mashed potatoes were just ok, nothing special, and could've used more gravy. My coworker enjoyed the chicken, he said it was flavorful, but he didn't care for the Mac or the rice. I may give this place another shot to try the chicken, and I might give the sandwich another go, if it's done the way...

Ordered the Nashville Mac n Cheese Sandwich. It supposed to be a chicken sandwich with mac n cheese with hot sauce. This is what I got. Some burnt brown nasty stuff to ruin a perfect sandwich. Called to ask about it and was told that is the sauce they use, that it was perfectly fine and to have a nice day. I have had the sandwich before within the last month and it had your normal red hot sauce you dip it into not buffalo sauce. If this is what you are serving now. Good bye! There was something terribly wrong with the sauce and I was dismissed and told everything was fine by your worker.
