Sandyes Cafe and Cakes — Restaurant in City of Schenectady

The cake I ordered for my son’s 5th birthday was just what I asked for, it was nice & tasty as well. I have to give 1 star though because I ordered the cake on March 28th for April 11th. I sent the deposit, they said okay that was it. On April 11th I messaged their Facebook in the morning seeing what time was good to pick it up, no response. Around 1:20 I get a call from them asking when I’m coming to pick up the cake because they close at 2… definitely didn’t like that. Then my sons father arrived to pick up the cake & the man that “helped” him asked him for the full $70 ( when i already paid $30 & owed $40) and also told him he didn’t have any box to put the cake in. Just found all of that really weird because everyone else had good reviews...

I was incredibly disappointed with the cupcakes. They were dry, horrible to pull apart and overall lacking flavor both cupcakes and frosting. I gave the owner an opportunity to try to make it right before posting the review and all she said was sorry you didn't like your order. I was charged $115 for 30 cupcakes. Below please see what expected and what I got. I will not order from this establishment again and recommend you avoid as well. A refund was not requested nor were any harassing texts sent. I gave the owner a chance to make the order right or offer something other than an apology. Being a small business they should stand behind their products. I agreed upon the price before placing order but expected the cupcakes to live up...

This is now my 3rd year getting custom cakes from sandye , & i must say she manages to blow me away each year ! she’s done my gender reveal cake , my daughters first birthday , & as of yesterday her second birthday ! the cakes are always so tasty and beautiful !!. every cake i’ve ever gotten from her is always so beautiful ! i’m so happy with her & her daughters work they do great! everytime i get a cake from her everyone at my party’s always compliments them , i was even told that a grown woman was jealous of my 2 year olds birthday cake 😂. that’s how great they are!! always beautiful a tasty. and not to mention , sandye and melissa are great people , they’re so friendly a welcoming 🥰. always my go to for cakes and cupcakes for...
