Ordered takeaway, so can't really comment on the interior or service other than it looks like a take-out place.
We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Achari, and Goat Curry. The tandoori was bone dry and flavorless, which is impressive for something literally covered in spice paste when cooked. Not a very good sign as their namesake dish. It was served with some steamed but again, overdone pepper and onions.
These were the only vegetables included in the meal.
The achari was just chicken in sauce with no vegetables, same with the goat curry. Both were similarly bland, with the chicken again being dry despite swimming in sauce. The sauce itself also seemed to have broken, with a thin liquid layer over a curdled tomato base.
The goat was... okay, more bone than meat but that was expected at this point. Both would have been better with anything else in them, especially at the price tag.
The only thing that passed the plummeting bar is the garlic naan, served whole and covered in
All in all, every aspect was missing flavor and substance. We are gonna stick to our usual place even though this one is much closer, especially with both places charging the same. It's the first time I haven't been excited...
Read moreCan’t recommend this place enough. Without a doubt not only the best Indian I’ve ever had, but the best food I’ve ever had entirely. The chicken tikka masala and biryani tasted like it was made by gods. The amount of care and love that goes into their food is incredible. The naan was delicious as well. You can tell they use a tandoor to cook it, it’s perfect. All of the food had lots of spice too it, caught myself sniffling at times. If you’re on the edge about trying this place, do yourself a favor and call them now and order one of everything. Trust me. You will not be...
Read moreThis Indian spot is hands-down the best in the area (and other states as well) The Chicken Tikka Masala is so savory & tasty - And I love it spicy. When I ask for it spicy they make it Indian spicy - It’s absolutely perfect. I lived in Dallas for awhile and tried nearly every spot there. Doesn’t even come close to the Tandoori House. I can’t even imagine there being 1 bad review on here, they seriously don’t know what they’re talking about. Try any other spot in the capital region and see if it comes close (it doesn’t) - The owner is so nice as well. Will always return...
