Read moreCongolese food in Syracuse. Imagine! Increasingly, Syracuse is seeing the benefit of recent immigration in the form of restaurants featuring new cuisines. Taste of Africa is one of them. In our two times dining here, we've found the food delightful and the service personable. The tilapia in tomato and pepper sauce with fufu tantalizes your palate. For dinner l had: 1) Mbuzi, chopped goat curry with an east African sauce (A+). 2) Shish Kebab (beef), and l'll have the lamb on my next visit (A). 3) Red Beans seasoned and fried in a red sauce (A). 4) Sukuma Wiki, marinated east African collards with chopped, smoked turkey bits (A). Everything comes with a large side of white rice and a portion of all-purpose spicy sauce (A+).
All for $20, plus tax and tip. Less than for two crummy cheeseburgers at a national casual restaurant run by accountants.
These folks made me feel like l was part of their family. And so l am. We don't have to make America great again. lt is doing just fine. We only have to stop in for dinner with Ullys and Adija once in a while to see what is...
