Willow Rock Brewing Company — Restaurant in City of Syracuse

1st....I hardly leave reviews on establishments but....I really enjoy their good beer, but that is the only plus. The young female bartender has a attitude unlike other breweries. She needs a hospitality course. One of the issues I had was the owners were at a high top table, finished up and left with their laptops. I was sitting at a picnic table in the back, went and sat down at the high top table to see the television and she told me I couldn’t sit there because the owners were coming back. Two minutes later one of the owners is walking out of the brewery with his backpack????????! The feeling I get from one of the owners is that they really don’t want to cater to the public inside the brewery, their interest is distribution which I understand. They should take a lesson from Down East Cider in Mass. they do not cater to the public, just distribute. It was a interesting experience! Again, they...

I wish half star reviews were allowed, because this is a solid 3.5 stars for me. I like the interior layout/setup and the chalkboard signs for the beers available are very cute! They have an okay beer selection; nothing in particular wow'd me, but that's fine. The staff was very friendly and there's TVs and other entertainment. No food, but I do hear they sometimes have food trucks and I saw other people having food delivered.

The location is a bit of a downside for me personally, since it's kind of out of the way. There's no restaurants or anything else nearby to walk to, plus there's no outside seating (that I saw when I was there). It makes it just a little too isolated for me, especially since it's in Syracuse and not out in the country.

I met a friend this past week it was to my pleasure it was extremely comfortable and cool throughout the entire facility! Don't let the heat deter you from checking this cool brewery out! The owner is very friendly and accommodating, as was all the staff! Brew Grub Food Truck is serving chicken, sliders, Mac and cheese and more! It’s a toss up between the pork slider and Mac and cheese with pepper Jack topped with scallions! Why pick order both! The beers we tried were great Blonde Ale, summer ale are lighter and refreshing for the hot weather. My friend has been to the establishment before and really enjoyed the atmosphere, and brews as well! We stayed and ordered a Hazy and that went down very smoothly as well.
