I'm a bit baffled that my coworkers look forward to dining here every Wednesday for their pasta specials. I joined them for the first time today and was entirely underwhelmed. Pasta is overcooked and mushy, overly salted, and the "carbonara" sauce was not as described when I asked the server about it. I asked what was in it as I know a lot of American "Italian" spots include onions in their carbonara and the server said nothing about them so I thought I was safe - but no, I was served a dish I was allergic to. I ate around them as best I could as I am not anaphylactic and wasn't interested in making my coworkers late, but I'm not excited about the tummy ache I'll be dealing with. When the server took it away he asked if I liked it and I explained my allergy and I was not offered an apology for the lapse in communication. For what it's worth, it is also a cream-based sauce so if you are dairy-free or otherwise looking for an authentic carbonara, you won't find it here, but the server was at least transparent about the cream when I inquired about the preparation. I was then charged $2 more for the dish than is listed on their website - and the listed price is still more than what I received is worth. I have recently paid less for a similar dish in Manhattan, where I was given a larger portion. I'm being generous with 3 stars as they clearly do care about their regulars, such as my coworkers, and the service was quick. Ultimately, it is overpriced and if you aren't a regular the service leaves room to be desired. I don't plan on being back.
Edit for the owner who has replied: i was upfront about not being able to eat my dish and we were still charged, so while I appreciate you want to keep things positive, that is not what I experienced. Additionally, only 2-3 of the pastas on the specials menu were listed as $10, and while that is a good deal, it isn’t reflective of the rest of the prices you offer. Sincerely wishing you the best, but it...
Read moreThey keep hiking up prices... Yet their service is getting poorer/cheaper. Money hungry business owners are the worst because they don't actually care about the customers. They lost a great delivery driver a while back because of how Mike treats people. I wouldn't invest a penny in their food just because I'm not sure if they'd deliver my food with proper packaging. Why should I have to pay extra or ask that my foods with sauces/liquid juices be delivered in tightly closed lids?... Or better yet... If it's going to leak in it's container at least a plastic bag instead of a paper one? SMH in disgust. And no I'm not a former employee. But I do know the former employee who quit because he got tired of working for greedy people who have no concern for the customers' needs. Lol @ this looks like a former employee... Crickets chirp and the Jeopardy theme plays in my head... as I wait for you to show some invalidity to my review. Ignore! Dude your restaurant will have to be saved by your other investments because poor service to loyal people doesn't balance or pan out....
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and decided to try their large Margherita pizza. The pizza itself was absolutely delicious the dough was perfectly crunchy on the outside yet incredibly soft and melted in my mouth. The flavors were spot on, with just the right balance of tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and a touch of basil. It was one of the tastiest pizzas I’ve had in a while. However, while the taste of the pizza was fantastic, I was a bit disappointed with the size. The large pizza didn’t seem as big as I expected, especially considering the price. It felt a bit pricey for what you get, as there are other places that offer larger portions for a similar or lower cost. In conclusion, if you’re looking for delicious pizza with a great taste and texture, this place is definitely worth trying. But be prepared to pay a bit more for the portion size, as the price may not seem justified for the...
