Best Sicilian slice I've ever had. Not even exaggerating. The location for this place is pretty unassuming and I would have completely missed it if I wasn't using my GPS. I'm pretty sure the owner was there when I. stopped in, super nice guy.
I read other reviews and saw how many people gave this place "best pizza in town" status so I figured it was at least worth a shot. I always keep my expectations low because I've had plenty of experiences where the food just didn't live up to the lofty expectations (maybe I'm just a picky person?).
Anyways, I got one Sicilian slice and one regular slice just to taste test. The Sicilian slice was on another level. It was just perfect, best I've ever had. The flavor of the cheese and the sauce were amazing. The texture of the bread and everything was also perfect. And even the temperature was just right. Simply the best slice I've ever had and I've tried a lot of pizza in my life. And no, I haven't been to Italy but I'm going to have my folks who have been try it and see what they think. The regular slice was also one of the best regular slices I've had to be honest, but I ate it after the Sicilian slice that blew me away, so it was a ridiculously tough...
Read moreDefinitely the greatest Sicilian pizza ever. My family and I moved to Florida 30 years ago we still come back every year to visit family and our first stop is always Capri Pizza for Sicilian. Luigi was the greatest guy ever and watched us grow up as kids, always had a kind and encouraging word for everyone. We love coming back every year and visiting with his wife and son Frank who still run the place... same great recipe same great pizza... in the movie Field of Dreams they said baseball was the constant in everybody's life... for us growing up in Yonkers the constant in our lives was and is Capri Pizza! Great job. keep up the great work. Frank continues to carry on the great tradition Luigi started. And we loved visiting with him and reminiscing... I have turned my children on to Capri, they look forward to it every year on our trip up from Florida, because it truly is unique and by far the best Sicilian pizza...
Read moreWe were looking for authentic New York style pizza and this place was highly recommended, so we checked it out. It seems to be a quaint, family owned business. I believe the owners are Sicilian. We chose this place based off of several 4 star or better reviews. Brass tax; the pizza was just ok. I’ve come to the realization that New Yorkers have different taste buds. (I guess) lol. We were very disappointed that we tried 2 NY pizzerias and neither was good. Houston and Chicago both have better pizza than the supposed Home of pizza. I even asked a native about a good pizza spot and he told me that he goes to Little Caesar’s or Dominos. What!!! 😂 I love NY...
