My husband and I were looking for a diner outside of Harlem. As a chef, I’m ALL about flavor and the city is lacking in good, homestyle diners and friendly vibe.. So we came to Yonkers.. Found this hidden gem, with homestyle pancakes. I had the Mexicita Omellete with spinach and you can’t go to a diner without trying their pancakes. So buttery and tasty and perfect texture, NOT FROZEN.. The omelette was super flavorful and their home fries were perfect. Not overly or under seasoned. Perfect… Their coffee was smooth. I’m so full had to take it home and save it from my husband who kept stealing my eggs lol.. I will be coming back especially because the waitress was so darn nice, warm and friendly.....
Read moreThis is a newer diner. The front is deceptive as it appears much smaller than it actually is. The food quality and price were excellent. They need to purchase napkin dispensers for the tables. The service was a little underwhelming as it was fairly busy. I had coffee and not once did they ask if I wanted more. I had to waive someone down to ask for more. The waitress never returned to check on us to see if we needed anything or how our food was. I will return however based on the quality of food and price. While I was waiting I had a chance to talk to the man who was behind the cash register. It was a great conversation about the difference items on the menu.
