I’m an out-of-towner, but I visit Clarion a few times a year to visit friends and for the awesome ALF. I make it a point to enjoy both a breakfast and a lunch at the County Seat each time I’m in town. Everything is homemade and absolutely DELICIOUS. I always say I’m coming for the cinnamon rolls & berry pancakes, but it’s the soups & sandwiches that really seal the deal. I’ve also noticed the upgrades to the restaurant, and it’s great to see owners who really put 100% effort into a local staple. The staff is always so friendly (Neeva, Billy) and funny (Lauren in particular). Thanks for all the sidewalk eats during the festival. The chicken salad sold out too quick—I wanted seconds! I can’t wait until the next time I’m in town. PS. I was warned the homemade bread would be messy—doesn’t matter. It’s totally worth it. And they did a custom Turkey Reuben...

my partner and i stopped here for breakfast during our pa roadtrip. the staff does not follow safety guidelines as most masks were worn improperly and the busser didnt wear one at all. they reuse the condiments, creamers, and jellies from each table without disinfecting so its unclear how many people have come in contact with these items. My ribeye came out over cooked to well and my eggs under done as easy when i ordered both medium. i give two stars for the atmosphere and hospitality. its very warm and homey and it seemed like everyone knew eachother, unfortunately i wasnt open to much conversation due to...

Stopped in while visiting from Maine, brought bake some fond memories as it smelled like the diner my mom worked in when I was a kid growing up in Galeton 30+years ago. Wife an I had breakfast, we weren't disappointed - it was great. The waitress could not have been any nicer (sorry I cant remember your name but I'm the guy that asked about scrapple). The prices were amazing and the portions were just shy of those given to a lumberjack. If it wasn't for a 700 mile trip to get here I'd be a regular, I'll just have to settle for once or twice a year. Thanks from Tom &...

Had Country Fried Steak, eggs and homefries. Unfortunately they don't have a specific Country Fried Steak breakfast meal so I had to order everything ala carte which ended up costing me $20. The bad, the steak was small, overcooked and gristly. The good, service was very good, eggs were perfect and delicious. They normally deep fry their home fries, which I'm not a fan of, but my waitress said since they were not busy they could fry them on the grill top with onions, they were good also. If they had more breakfast meal deals it would be better, price-wise.

Stopped in here for breakfast and I wanted a nice sit down breakfast. I sat down at the counter and waited. Eventually, one of the women seated to my left got up and said “What do you want?” I told her exactly what I wanted, expecting a farm-to-table experience and I was shocked at what arrived on my plate: store bought bread, store bought frozen hash brown patties and over cooked eggs. I was hungry anyway and scarfed down my meal and left a 20% tip even though I had interrupted her employee meal. I have no desire to eat there again.
