Oh my gosh I’m in love with Golly G’s!!! The service was great. The young lady who took my order was so sweet and had such a sweet smile you could tell she was enjoying her day and her job. She asked me if I would like my chicken salad sandwich toasted and also made sure it was fresh and warm when I got it. She also made sure it was okay to box my cookies and slice of cake together in one big box which I thought was really nice because she took the time to ask me and thought about asking if it was ok rather then going ahead and just throwing them all in one big box. The other young ladies and gentlemen working all had smiles on there faces and made sure to tell everyone hello and have a good day on there way out. The inside of Golly G’s is up to date and very clean! I loved the bar they had facing the window with the high back chairs they were a lot more comfortable then I had expected. Also the inside of the restaurant/bakery/ice cream shop was a perfect temperature it was nice and cool inside. I didn’t try any ice cream today but look forward to coming back and trying ice cream next time. Can’t wait for my fiancé to get home and taste his peanut butter cookie sandwich it smells so good. The chicken salad sandwich was toasted to perfection and the chicken was rotisserie style and very fresh it also had grapes in it but I love that in chicken salad. The sandwich even came with a pickle sphere which was a nice surprise. I tried the wedding cake slice and it was amazing the icing was made perfectly and the cake was nice and moist. The other cookie I got for myself was a regular shortbread cookie with icing on it so it was decorated like a ice cream cone it was so cute and tasted amazing as well. I would rate my visit a 10 out of 10 stars if I could and look forward to going back to Clarksville’s best kept secret! I plan on making sure everybody knows about Golly G’s it won’t be secret...
Read moreGolly G's is sweet shop located on Madison Street Clarksville, Tennessee. The first time I ever went to Golly G's was the one in Pleasantview. They had the biggest and best cinnamon rolls.
Golly G's on Madison Street still has the best cinnamon rolls. They also have ice cream and other sweets. I personally do not like the ice cream. I prefer Baskin-Robbins ice cream, but since they combined with Dunkin Donuts, you can not get into the parking lot. I miss getting ice cream from Baskin-Robbins.
Anyway, the various cookies sold at Golly G's are very good. Most of the baked goods are. One thing that is very good surprisingly is the baked pretzel. Try a pretzel. It is very very good.
Golly G's also has lunch offerings like chili, grilled cheese, chili dogs and chicken salad. None are particularly exemplary, but none are particularly bad either.
Golly G's has drive thru making it especially convenient for when leaving the car is not. Inside Golly G's, there is ample seating to include some outdoor seating in the warmer months. Golly G's also offers free Wi-Fi for their customers.
The service at Golly G's is usually very good. Sometimes it can be painfully slow as Golly G's seems to emphasize drive thru customers over in store customers. The employees are very young and most always extremely friendly. This is a good thing.
Golly G's on Madison Street Clarksville Tennessee is a worthwhile stop to satisfy a cinnamon rolls craving, ice cream thirst, pretzel yearn or some other itch to be scratch. If it sweet or baked, Golly G's might have...
Read moreGolly G’s came to Waverly today. If you have been watching the news than you understand Waverly TN is in the process of overcoming one of its most tremendous devastations. We experienced a flood on Saturday that moved homes off their foundation. Some were moved 50-100 yards from their original locations. Businesses were destroyed. Life’s were lost. People are missing. The only redeeming thing about this entire catastrophe is the unification and response of the community to help those affected. Golly G’s was part of that response. They passed through town offering their delicious treats to any worker, victim, or volunteer. FOR FREE! Even though we tried, the refused to take any money, whatsoever. Y’all, they don’t even live in this city. They came and helped people that they won’t see everyday. People that don’t live in their city, and aren’t their common customers. They drove a long distance, donating their product, their fuel, their time, and their hearts, for a community that they owed nothing to. That’s character. Even if their food was horrible, I’d spend money here before spending it at ANY other establishment. However the quality of their ice cream matched the quality of their hearts. It was beyond delicious, and very needed. I was honored to meet these people, and I was blessed in more ways than free ice cream. If you haven’t gathered by now, I HIGHLY recommend that you try this place out, and that you continue giving them your business. These are the right kind of people....
