A Fresh Take on Caribbean Cuisine If you're in search of an authentic Caribbean dining experience that showcases vibrant flavors and exceptional quality, look no further than Jamrok Caribbean Buffet. This hidden gem has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and it's easy to see why! From the moment you step inside Jamrok, you're greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly captures the essence of the Caribbean. The decor is colorful and lively, setting the tone for a delightful culinary journey ahead. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food! The freshness of the ingredients at Jamrok is truly remarkable. Each dish is prepared with an emphasis on quality, and you can taste the difference in every bite. The buffet boasts an impressive variety of options, from jerk chicken that’s perfectly spiced and succulent to fresh seafood that sings with the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean. The display of fruits and salads is equally impressive, with tropical delights like mango, pineapple, and plantains, all freshly cut and bursting with flavor. The use of herbs and spices enhances each dish, showcasing the culinary heritage of the Caribbean in a way that's both authentic and innovative. One of the standout items for me was the oxtail stew—tender, rich, and full of flavor, it was a true comfort food experience. The curry goat was also a must-try, with its aromatic spices and melt-in-your-mouth texture. And let’s not forget about the side dishes, such as the seasoned rice and peas, which perfectly complemented the main courses. The staff at Jamrok Caribbean Buffet are friendly and attentive, making sure that your dining experience is as enjoyable as possible. They are always eager to recommend their favorites and share the story behind the dishes, adding a personal touch to your meal. The best part? Jamrok is committed to sustainability and sourcing local ingredients whenever possible, which enhances not only the freshness but also the environmental responsibility of their offerings. In conclusion, Jamrok Caribbean Buffet is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality, fresh Caribbean cuisine....
Read moreUpdate sep 21. They didn't have all the vegetables dishes and fruit out they usually have buy what they did have tasted really good. Im surprised there weren't more people attending the lunch buffet but maybe because its Sunday and people are at church...
I think for the price they definitely deliver and I would reccomend this place to others.
Update 2:24pm sep 17, 2025. Over the past week I came to eat here twice including today. I paid about 1:45pm to dine here during a slow time when hardly anyone is here. No one guided me to a table which usually with a buffet presumes I am able to sit wherever I want and feel comfortable (rightfully so).
I like seating in the middle further away from the speakers that I find to be a little loud for my taste. Both times during my dining while I already sat down to eat their cashier harrased me to move from the table I was seating at due to large groups coming in is the reason they gave me.
Mind you its 2pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday. The slowest business time and they are worried about a large group coming in? Which by the way didn't happen in both of my attending times over this past 7 days.
This has definitely made me uncomfortable like someone is going confront me more and took me away from being at ease to enjoy my dining experience.
With this keep happen, even though I like the food, am considering not returning. First time it happened I still tipped them.
But this time due to my uneasiness and discomfort I don't think so. Im not sure if ill even come back to eat here again...
Not bad buffet place. The curry is flavorful. There a lot of vegetarian/vegan options which is great. It did feel a little hot in there and I did think the music and base was a little strong.
I like the music to be soft more like a background than to stick out like a thorn when im trying to relax while I'm eating.
Anyways I appreciate the options and all...
Read moreWe live near exit 11 so we don't venture this far for dinner often, but did so yesterday to try this spot for a birthday celebration. I have only one complaint, which is largely a misunderstanding, and i'll get to at the end. Pluses: So, I just adore an ethnic food buffet. It gives me and the kids an opportunity to try things in small quantities without having to commit to an entree. However, often buffet dishes are not fresh. That was not the case here. Very fresh and hot, lots of different options and flavors. Healthier choices like fruit and cucumber salads. There were 5 different rice options. Soft Serve ice cream. And drinks are included in the buffet price! Often a concern with buffets, clean hands. Jamrok has a handwashing sink area right in the entrance so you can frequently wash your hands. The negative: As prefaced, this is likely a misunderstanding. The buffet prices are on the door. I did not notice them upon entry. My sons and I were running late and the rest of the party had already arrived. At the end of the meal, I went to pay and was told that one in my party had already paid. When I asked them, they light-heartedly said that they had to do so. Because you pay before you are sat. Which is fine, but I guess it had not been asked if there were any children in the party and it turns out the child price is $5 less ($12.99 vs $17.99) The lady at the front must not have understood when i asked if there was a different price for children and adults, because she responded that there was not, but the sign on the door plainly states otherwise. Definitely check this place out. Clean, comfortable, large dining area. Many options, all great. Even some southern faves like mac-n-cheese and fried chicken. Great music. Just make sure you communicate well the ages of the members of your party. Either way, I'm sure we got our money's worth. :) Oh. There is a breakfast buffet coming on Aug 30th. Something else to...
