T&D Island Spices & More — Restaurant in Oak Grove

First time ordering here and it won't be the last. The Trenton Road location is right there on my way home, so you can bet I'll be stoppin' by for some more.

We decided to give this spot a shot during the COVID-19 Pandemic and it was a delivery.

We ordered the Jerk Chicken and the Curry Chicken...we also asked for some mild beef patties, but they were out.

The food was delivered by GrubHub pretty quickly too, so thanks for using that service!

This was good food, I don't really know how else to describe it. We've had food in Jamaica, in the mountains, cooked at some lady's house and served at a roadside rest-stop...and this was just like that. Rustic, delicious, super flavorful. I'm a fan of the heat and the Jerk Chicken gave me all that I can handle and then some.

The menu's are pretty good I would give the restaurant menu 9 out of 10 ratings. The jerk chicken tends to to be a popular dish so they're out of it at times. I would call first to see if they have any jerk chicken before you show up if you really only need jerk chicken. They are other menu's such as oxtail, curry goat, curry chicken, and brown stew chicken. The dining area recently got a much needed upgrade. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant. You may have to park across the street during lunch time hours. Some menus are special order such as Saltfish and Ackee. I recommend order by phone prior arriving for your special orders. I've eaten the oxtails and they are superb. They are meaty and tender. The gravy is truly brown gravy made just right. The rice and peas(red beans) are cooked to perfection if they haven't had to do a rushed job(which is rare). The rice is not stick(clumped together). I've eaten at alot of Caribbean restaurants all over Atlanta and Nashville. By far they WIN! Their Jerk is Phenomenal! Seasoned and Cooked to perfection.
