Terrible Experience at Waffle House

Today I had an extremely disappointing experience at Waffle House that left me frustrated and dissatisfied. Not only did they mess up my order, but their attempt to rectify the situation was even worse.

After receiving an incorrect order, I called the establishment and was assured that my food would be ready upon my return. However, when I arrived back at the restaurant, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes before realizing that they had completely forgotten about my order. This level of incompetence is unacceptable.

What made matters worse was the fact that I had already left a tip during my initial visit, assuming that the mistake would be rectified promptly. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and I left the restaurant feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated.

I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and poor customer service displayed by the Waffle House staff was truly disheartening. I will not be returning to this establishment in the future, as this experience has left a lasting negative impression.

I hope that Waffle House takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their service and ensuring that such incidents do not occur...

Went in around 8am on weekday. Staff greeted us and we seated ourselves. Hostess delivered our silverware and took our drink order right away. We immediately noticed the air conditioning was going and it was very cold. We had dressed for a warm day and had left our jackets in the car. Our server took our order right away. Was going back to car for jackets when our server brought everthing except the waffles, bacon and sausage. Those followed about 3 minutes later. Everything was hot and tasty. Only complaint was the waffle was overcooked and hard. (I noticed that while we were waiting for our order the cook had opened the waffle maker and was trying to pry off the top and bottom of the waffle without tearing it. Once he got it off he patted it down onto the other part of the waffle. He had gloves on otherwise we would have refused them. As we left I noticed other customer's waffles were also hard and overcooked. We have been to several of the Waffle Houses in the area and have not been served one like this. The food and service was ok but what made my experience worth reviewing is the cross contamination I witnessed during cooking. The cook wears gloves but does not change them appropriately. He was cooking then grabbed raw bacon out of the fridge and continued to touch everything else without changing gloves..cooked meat.. cheese bread.. cabinets ect. If I would have seen this at the beginning and not at the end of my meal I would not have eaten here. They say there are cameras with sound I hope the management looks back and sees for themselves and get the staff better educated on the importance of glove changing/hand washing/cross contamination.
