This was my first time in many years coming here. I saw their story on the Local News recently about how road construction is hurting their business and decided to buy some things to help out. First of all, it is not that bad getting there around the construction. Take the side streets and it comes out right in front of the bakery. Once I get inside I start looking at the prices and they were pretty steep. There were two women working and neither were wearing gloves, hair nets, aprons, etc. They were wearing everyday clothes which was a turn off, no safety around food whatsoever. They were pretty rude as well waiting on me then talking to one another then saying "what was that again"? I ordered a few Donuts and Cookies. The one lady took a few items off a tray they was sitting on the display case counter which people were breathing and talking over which again is not sanitary at all. She puts the items in a box and says "$20". This was kinda fishy because I got a few different priced items and she says that without adding it on a register, calculator, sheet of paper, NOTHING. I guess she is a math genius. I honestly have no clue how this place stays in business and where all these 5 star reviews come from. I've been to lots of other bakeries around that are much cheaper and taste better than this place. I'll...

I ordered a dozen cookies with paw prints on them as a treat for our vet. I didn't open the box when I picked them up, but I'm certainly glad I did before I gave them to her. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I paid over $20 for cookies that were all different sizes and looked terrible. The icing was unevenly poured over them and the paw print was made with icing that appeared to be for cake, not cookies. I was so unhappy, I just threw them away because they didn't even taste good (that would have at least been the silver lining if they were tasty)! The lady that waited on me seemed to be irritated as well. This is not somewhere I would return to or recommend. With all the great reviews, I trusted this would be a great place. Perhaps the issue just lies with...

I had a last minute request for a graduation cake for my son at college. It's in Evansville, so I really didn't think about it but he wanted a little Party at a place in Evansville, so last minute I thought that would be nice. I called three places and none of them said "they could even whip something up" until William's Bakery. The only ideas I had were on Pinterest, and most of them took a lot of preparation. But they found a USI picture and copied it on the front, put a grad hat, few roses, and Congrats Allen!!! It looked great! I was so impressed...called at 9:00 and picked this up at 5:30. (See below) I'm sold...for them to rush this for me when they don't know me from Adam shows true respect. I know where I'm getting any cake needed...

Williams Bakery. Terrible customer service and an awful place to get your sweets. I ordered a cake and they wrote a boys name in pink. When I asked to have the cake remade because of the error they made they blamed it on me and told me I would be charged again, and when I asked why would they write a boys name in pink if I didn’t clarify it should be pink they said “because that’s the world we live in how do we know”. Which doesn’t even make sense. We asked for a boy cake regardless and the lady there wanted to argue. This was the worst experience I’ve had with customer service. They wanted to charge us again for another cake even though it was there mistake. They will not go to any length to provide good customer service.
