R Cafe - Genoa, OH — Restaurant in Clay Township

I'm up here from Texas visiting family. I absolutely love the small town feel of this cafe. Courteous service with a genuine smile from Kelly. So far this week I have enjoyed an awesome juicy cheeseburger, a very hearty and flavorful meatloaf with veggies. Last night, all you can eat Walleye, my first time trying Walleye, oh my gosh, soooo good‼️ This morning I came in for breakfast. The hash browns tasted so much better than what I'm use to, Rhonda the owner, told me they are made from real fresh cooked potatoes not the dehydrated type. I came here on a Monday while my vehicle was getting checked out just down the road at Joe's Automotive, and as I was coming down the street, I ran into a HUGE issue. Every place other than 2 (not including the bank), I could not check out or go into because of the lack of accessibility (Manual Wheelchair). I lucked out and rolled down to the R Cafe, and despite a 1-2 inch ledge when I opened the door, I was able to get in pretty well. They have great "breakfast" here, so we thought we'd try the a.y.c.e walleye dinner here on Fridays. What a treat!! It was so good, it came with Cole slaw (yummy) 😋 & a baked potato.
