A seat yourself kinda place. Lots of menu selections. We ordered potato skins with cheese, bacon and sour cream. These were just potatoes cut in half served with the toppings. The chef needs to learn how to use salt by actually using salt. Needless to say they were bland and very dry. My husband ordered a gyro and two chili dogs. The gyro was just ok and the chili dogs tasted like the chili sauce sat on the steam table to long. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken which was a $1 up charge. It came to the table with gyro meat it was immediately sent back to the kitchen. When I finally got my salad the chicken was burnt and I had to pick the burnt parts off. Note to the Chef: Don't send out a burnt piece of meat. The patron would wait alittle longer for a fantastic dinner which would redeem the first mistake. Waitress could not keep our drinks filled we had to go up to the bar ourselves. Bathrooms were moderately clean but the garbage cans did not have lids on them which is a health code violation. My husband had coffee while he waited on me to finish my salad. The coffee cup was stained inside and had a chip missing from the rim another health code violation even though it was a small chip still a violation. The waitress knew how upset we were with the whole experience and tried to make it right by taking $2 off the bill. Not sure why all the mistakes because the restaurant was not busy since it was after the lunch rush. If you decide to eat here hopefully you'll have a better...
Read moreI recently visited Rayz Cafe, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. The lighting was harsh and uninviting, giving the place an almost clinical feel. The decor seemed outdated and didn't match the trendy vibe I expected from the online photos. The service was even worse. Despite the cafe being half-empty, it took forever for someone to acknowledge our presence and seat us. Even if the bar was full, there should be more than one waitress or waiter on duty. Once seated, we waited an absurd amount of time for a server to take our order. When they finally did arrive, they were unfriendly and acted as if they were doing us a favor by serving us. The tables were sticky, and it was clear they hadn't been cleaned properly. The noise level was also unbearable, with loud music blaring that made it impossible to have a conversation. To make matters worse, the staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to customers. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. The portions were small, and the presentation was unappetizing. It was evident that little care had been put into the preparation. To top it all off, the prices were absurd for the quality of food and service provided. Overall, my visit to Rayz Cafe was a letdown. The poor service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and subpar food made it an experience I won't be repeating. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant...
Read moreNot too bad. A decent place if you don't mind eating with bar TV's blasting over your dinner conversation. I was not impressed with the food. The burger was not cooked to order. I ordered medium, my party ordered medium well and medium rare. All burgers were well done when served. The ingredients were fresh, but there just was no taste in the burger. It tastes like it was just slapped on the skillet and placed on the bun. Just no flavor. A bit of salt and pepper go a long way. One guest asked for a water with lemon, it was brought out with no lemon. He asked for a lemon when he saw there wasn't one and the waitress said she'd bring it right back out. Our food came, no lemon. He asked again, she apologized for forgetting and said she'd be right back with his lemon. She did not come back until she checked on us, still didn't bring a lemon. Wasn't going to ask a third time. Burgers were priced *OK for what you get, as mentioned, they could use some spice. The substitute for fries is over priced. Usually when you get a $10 burger, it comes with fries, not $2.50 additional cost. I would recommend this place if you love to drink and watch NASCAR, but...
