"Invisible UnWelcomed Customers"...i'll call this review. DISAPPOINTED 😞...

Fellow Clayton-ians...Hate when things go from a Good to Bad Experience..yet it happens. 8pm. Wife & I went to Main St. WINE & BEER, DWTN CLAYTON Friday eve 12/29 after see a great early eve movie at White Oak. We sat at Hightop of the small & quaint establishment...middle of room, in front of large fridge..clearly in sight. After several minutes went to bar..to inquire abt Wine tasting..which we enjoyed a couple of wks ago( Thx to Olena). Taylor provided us glasses after we inquired...and stated "the lady"(don't recall the Brunettes name) would be with us for the 4 tastes(per norm). Never HAPPENED!! We were walked by SEVERAL times by this "woman" within 2 ft & 15min.timeframe ..(BTW it was Not Oleana, Nor Taylor). NEVER ONCE ACKNOWLEDGED...OR ASKED ARE YOU READY YOUR FIRST WINE?!!!..or even simple "GOOD EVENING,WILL BE WITH YOU MOMENTARILY"..NOTHING!!!!!!!!!...After seeing us and another couple overlooked..Who left b4 us BTW, UN-SERVED, we chose to leave as clearly UNWELCOMED CUSTOMERS . Yet Can't say we were CUSTOMERS as we never received service....and as for the gent on crunches Constantly behind the bar, he was seemingly a distraction and not helpful on crunches to the several people that were in the establishment....NOTE: WORD TO THE WISE A "New establishment needs good community support to thrive" ..Poor word of mouth will not bode well!.. Just visited Main Street Wine & Beer today. It's a wonderful new addition to downtown Clayton. Planning to return next weekend. The Papaya Cider on tap was absolutely delightful. Really appreciate the owners for creating this charming spot that fosters a sense of community and enjoyment with others....

The atmosphere is nice. The bartender was very welcoming. The selection is great, the prices are just a little high if you want to drink something from the cooler. A $2 service charge to open a beer from the cooler? Seems steep. Probably won’t go back here unless a...
