My husband and I moved to Clayton 4 years ago and were so excited to have this amazing small town literally at our back doorstep but were worried we would have to drive to raleigh to get a good, high-end cocktail - aaaand then we found Revival and all of its eclectic amazingness! Every single member of the staff takes such pride in what is truly their art! We have totally come out of our âaverage cocktail at a restaurantâ shell and love our date nights of being able to sit, talk and just take in the timeless tradition that surrounds you in this space! I will say, if you want a rum and Coke or your everyday Shot and soda then you may be happier at one of the restaurants in town but if you want an experience and to just connect and talk with an amazing cocktail and maybe even some craft nibbles and charcuterie, then you HAVE to try Revival! If youâre disappointed⌠well⌠then the problem is just you because itâs seriously impossible to be disappointed in...

We, three women, sat at the bar and had some issues with some people standing directly behind us pointing with their hands at the bottles on the shelves, not realizing they were sticking their hands in our faces and bumping into our backs. This happened long enough that we decided to brave the cold and sit outside. What is nice is they do have little table fire pits. Out here, we asked if some people were leaving so we could sit. My friend used the word y'all and was quickly made fun of by the people she was politely asking to use the seating area. I guess long story not so short is that this bar is an awesome addition to down town Clayton with awesome handcrafted cocktails that are in short supply here. However my hopes are that the patrons who tend to be on the condescending side remember that they are in...
Read moreNot clayton having a fancy cocktail bar of all places. So i came in close to closing time here on my birthday because I always have wanted to check it out but never did. They actually sang me Happy birthday(i was wearing a bday sash). THat was so sweet and endearing and they have a very well-crafted cocktail menu. It IS a bit pricey(more closer to downtown raleigh prices) but well worth it in my opinion. I came in like maybe a week later or so on a sunday randomly when it was quiet and got to personally talk to the bartender Hannah who was super sweet and i forget the other young woman's name.
They do tasting events and other creative events that i hope to be able to attend in the near future. Great vibes. you'd think it was pretentious when you come in but honestly it feels like a homey dive bar with an extensive whiskey selection. Glad to see clayton classing it...
