Subway — Restaurant in Clear Lake

We stopped here twice before and it was wonderful those two times. This time,not so much. The young man who took over our order from the older woman who started our order,was not friendly. He seemed to not want to be there at that time. My daughters both ordered sliders and had to repeat themselves as he went 'turtle slow'. He only put two small drops of mayo on the one and didnt even ask what sauce on the other,my daughter had to ask twice for sauce. My sandwich,was a mess! I asked for 1 SWIPE of mayo,chipotle&caeser EACH...he put 3 large swipes of EACH on and didnt put any parmesan as I requested. At the register,the woman was done taking remote order&made our night! She was friendly,smiling&talking to my girls&even gave us extra napkins. When we ate in the car,due to the lobby being cleaned already,we saw the young man making a sandwich quickly for himself and leaving within minutes of our visit. We were very disappointed that being customers&wanting our food done correctly was not as important as this young man leaving early as it was not even 9pm&store closes at 10pm. I always feel like Subway in general is a bit of a crapshoot when it comes to how fresh the ingredients really are. For example, I’d say half the time you get old crusty bread and the other half of the time, it’s soft, fresh, and delightful.

I moved here to Clear Lake a couple months ago and have been to this location a few times since then. Each time I’ve gone, the sandwiches have been fantastic. Fresh bread, fresh meat and veggies, special instructions followed perfectly. The employees are great, friendly, and for my last online pickup order, they included some fun doodles and smiley faces on the stickers that seal the sandwich wrappers.

The franchise owner, manager, and employees here are doing something right and I have to give props where props...

Oh I love how everyone has the same complaint about that the service and the waiting. I was even argued with repeatedly to justify that i should have standed there longer waiting for him to finish his orders while I sat waiting in silence?! He even went made more meat as I stood there evening longer..?! Then another rude homeless looking crack head jumped in with his two cents saying I should wait and that the guy should charge me 3x the amount because I said I would like to have my sandwich?! This place is dirty, trashy, gross and poorly run. Letting corporate know of these poor practices.. good to know from reading these reviews I’m one of many who all can agree this is a eye sore dump.
