Legends Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Clearfield

Found this place based on Google reviews and really liked it! To be clear, this is a cozy, neighborhood bar, on a residential street, with tons of local charm and character. In my mind, a down home version of “Cheers”, filled with happy, friendly locals. Any minute I expected the door to open, a guy to walk in, and everyone in unison to raise a beer and shout, “Norm!”😃 Or server, Danielle, was warm and friendly and hustling the whole time we were there. (5* for Service!) Chicken Chili Fries were different and excellent, as were the mozzarella sticks with marinara. Grilled cheese bites, burgers and wings were good/average bar food. A real surprise was the soft pretzel. It was fresh, soft, flavorful and HUGE! Beer was cold and good selection on tap. Went with my boyfriend to get some food. We sat down at the bar to wait, since 2 people in there apparently made them "to busy to answer the phone for take out". My boyfriend kissed me twice while sitting at the bar, nothing extreme that the other people weren't doing. Which was met with the male staff member that had long hair to make comments about us, then told us very rudely after staring during it to not kiss in there. However the other couple was perfectly fine. It made both of us very uncomfortable and we will not be back. The food took 30 minutes to come out, when it did come out it was cold and did not even taste edible beside my fried cauliflower and onion pedals. We're long haul truck drivers passing through with an Oversize. We stay at Sapp Brothers occasionally. We love to visit local places, but by no means we recommend this dive. My Pilot and I had dinner here tonight, but not near as cold as the service from Bartender seemly choking with 4 tables, 2 take-out orders and us 2 sitting at the bar. His burger was plastered with healthy dose of mayonnaise. He couldn't finish it. On the other hand my steak salad was covered with French fries glued together with Swiss cheese. The meat was charred to perfecttion. The blue cheese dressing tasted horrible too, but again the beer was cold. Yes, I tipped her because she did the best she could. Good...
