WORST party experience ever!!! We chose to throw our 2-year-old daughter's bday party at Chuck E. Cheese Clearwater location because after recently giving birth, we needed everything to be easy and stress-free and what we got was the exact opposite. Our party was reserved from 12:30-2:30 and we communicated the time, date, headcount and any add-ons several times over the phone. When we arrived a little before 12:30, nothing was ready, no introduction from the host, just a point to the general direction of "table 7" when there was no party name or table numbers displayed. We were given one table with seats for the 16 children which left 6 seats left for 30 adults that they assured us they had room for over the phone. Our host introduced themselves after another 10 minutes or so passed, saying it's their first day so sorry for the bumpy start, said they were getting our stuff together and would ask the manager if we could have another table for our 46 guests, then left the area. When 12:50 approached, all our guests had mostly arrived and we had elderly people leaning against the wall with no place to sit, children running around with no cards to play with, no drinks, food, etc. We hunted down the host and the manager because we were growing more furious and embarrassed as every passing minute ate up our two hours of time for our child's party. We found the host hidden across the facility working on decorations and things in a corner. They refused to let us use the long table next to us because it was for a party starting after ours and decorated for 4, I repeat.. FOUR children to our 16 and they only charge for the children mind you!! They said they only account for the children, not the adults so one table is enough for us. They were STILL working on loading up the game passes for the children a half hour after the party was supposed to start and didn't even offer to make up for that missed half hour. Again, still no food, drinks, fun cards or seats provided at this point. They weren't apologetic at all, and actually acted like we were inconveniencing them. Every time we asked for more time or another table, they refused because they had to set up for the next party.. why is that future party more important than making the one in front of their faces happy? We ended up just taking over the other table after the manager reluctantly said he "couldn't stop us". The kids got the game passes and drinks over half an hour after the party started. Everything we ordered over the phone was lost.. 8 extra pizzas, cake order, etc, so they acted like they were doing us a favor by whipping up pizza and cakes last minute. We never got any refills on drinks so our friends and family had to bring up the pitchers to refill. We got no time with Chuck E. Cheese to sing her happy bday because they were still making our "last minute" cakes and they then dropped off the cakes on the table in the middle of 16 young children expecting us to wait for the Chuck E. Cheese show to end to sing happy bday to her?! The employees were mad we sang before the show because our 2-year old was of course crying wanting the cake in front of her. We cut the cakes and the children ate them with their hands because no knives and forks were provided. The extra 30 minutes the manager agreed to was of course forgotten and they came around at 2:30 to kick us out for that VERY important party after us. When the bill was reviewed, nothing was compensated, no apologies made. We paid over $500 for this experience and I expect at least a partial refund for the horrible treatment...
Read moreI wanna start off by saying I have 2 children, my daughter is autistic and my son has developmental disabilities as well… When I arrived there was several employees at the register, only one person ahead of me and it took way too long to attend to me in getting my game play going. Then once I started letting my kids play, a good majority of the games weren’t working. My son then saw the trampoline, he is 2 1/2, this of course was a separate charge. I went to the register as my son was throwing a fit because he really wanted to try the trampoline and again he’s 2 1/2 so he doesn’t understand to be patient. The employees again were taking their sweet time and 2 girls told me I was gonna have to wait til they closed their drawer or whatever they were doing. I found a different employee to help me, but he was too worried about my phone number, I showed him my receipt and said I already bought gameplay so I just wanted to buy the jump time for $12 and change, at this point my son was in a full meltdown and he didn’t have any sense of urgency and asked for my phone number again. I told him he could clearly see my kid wanted to jump so I quickly paid and went over to put his socks on. Once my son went in there were probably 6 other kids inside the trampoline area (seems like a lot for such a small space, might have been more but I remember 6 kids other than my son specifically). 2 or 3 of the kids were much larger maybe 8yrs old, they were playing way too rough and literally fighting and pulling each others arms around and throwing eachother around, having no regard for the rules or others. I asked the guy watching the trampolines if that was acceptable and he said no, then stood up, and said nothing to the kids and they continued to act the way they were. My son kept falling down multiple times because of this and I told him if my son got hurt I’d be very upset. He then got out of the trampoline area and continued to play games with his sister. Again lots of games down and having issues which ultimately got in the way of their gameplay time. Once the time was up I went to the prize area to redeem their points, there was a huge line, my kids did not want to wait. I asked if I could redeem their points 500 points I had and pay the difference for the blanket/pillow and I was told I needed to go wait in a different line for the cashier… again… I paid then as I’m leaving the guy who was supposed to be checking parents/children as they were leaving was just too busy talking to someone! Overall I’m very disappointed with this visit to this location. I’ve gone here several times with both my kids, and even had my daughters 3rd birthday party here (she’s now 5)… this location has gone downhill, the games are poor and the staff doesn’t care about their job. I’m definitely gonna consider Wesley chapel location from now on. It definitely sucks because my daughter loves Chuck E. Cheese and the mascot himself and it’s just not the...
Read moreI had my sons 2nd Birthday Party here. We will never make that mistake again. The front door person was busy doing nothing and knew nothing our host was there to tell me what to do... it started out confusing our table had a sign on it but no name on it. Our tables were 12 and 13 dirty chairs still had cake on them from the last party. How do you know which tables they are with no numbers or name on them? My guest just sat where ever. The host started by getting drinks to the table but with no guest at them so the drinks sat.... I was busy entertaining everyone as they showed up she never once tried to interact with us just came out to give me instructions and ask if I needed anything. It was upsetting because when I did need her she was no where to be found. I was informed by a few of my guests that a group of people next to us were harassing their kids. Calling them names taking their tickets ect I looked for our host to ask her to take care of the situation she was no where. She came out to bring pizza's to the table while they cut them in front of my sons dad in the back as per my request no used pizza for my kiddos. BTW our pizza had all uniformed round slices. They were however cold and also sat at the table for ever I told the host please call my guest over and she may or may not have done so. It's so loud in there no one can hear the announcements. Dipping dots were brought to the table unannounced and were melted. In fact I never seen them and I was there at the tables the whole time. Maybe I am crazy but I paid for so much and got so little. Had to share Chuck E Cheese with 2 other party groups my son was left out of his own Birthday song cause you could not get to Chuck E Cheese there were children everywhere as the SHOW went on for 3 birthday kids. Only one of the Birthday Boys was up there. I remember our host coming out to get my survey in which she was on top of me when I tried to fill it out so I felt like I had to say something nice... she also came out to get paid. She said we only take cash tips all I had was a 20.00 went to get change and the line to do so was insane so I was gonna leave without giving her one. I mean we even cut and served the cake and cold pizza. I felt like I was bothering her so I did everything! Any who she was sitting at a table at the door eating so again I felt like I was put on the spot and gave her a undeserved tip of 20.00. It was horrible and I will never come back. The kids left with stupid prizes and no goodie bags that I told them they would get cause I PAID FOR THEM!. Never again and the 30 some adults at the party won't be back nether GREAT JOB!
