⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Even better after three years!
It had been about three years since we last visited Nine Spice Hot Pot & Korean BBQ Clearwater, and somehow, it was even better than before! That’s truly surprising because, in our area, many restaurants either don’t last or their service declines over time. But this place? Absolutely amazing.
This is one of those rare spots where you can put your phone away—even the kids won’t be looking at theirs—because it’s so engaging and interactive. The energy is high, the atmosphere is lively, and the whole experience is just so much fun.
One thing to note—you do have to cook some of your food! If you’re bringing family members who might not expect that, it’s good to give them a heads-up. But honestly, it makes the experience even better. It’s a great job to give to younger kids or someone who likes to stay busy. If you enjoy being hands-on, you’ll love it. For me, I chose to cook because it kept me from eating too much, which worked out perfectly!
The service was phenomenal—our servers explained everything clearly and patiently, ensuring even first-timers felt comfortable. Plus, they were so entertaining! They had us laughing the whole time, making the experience even more fun. The drinks were fantastic, and the hours are a huge plus. They open at 1 PM and stay open until 1 AM, so whether you're looking for a midday meal or a late-night feast, they've got you covered.
If you’ve never tried Korean BBQ or hot pot, I recommend watching a few videos beforehand to get a feel for it. But even if you don’t, the staff is incredible at guiding you through the experience.
One of the biggest highlights? Their amazing salad bar—everything was fresh, well-organized, and delicious. Cooking together and trying different flavors as a family was such a bonding experience. In a world where kids are constantly on their phones, this restaurant brings everyone together in the best way possible.
Just a quick tip—your eyes will be bigger than your stomach! Be mindful when ordering because you do have to pay extra for excessive leftovers. But trust me, you’ll want to finish every last bite.
Overall, if I could give 10 stars, I would! The staff worked so hard, keeping drinks full and making sure every table was taken care of. Don’t forget to tip your servers and bartenders well—they truly deserve it.
We will definitely be coming back again! Our go-to is the BBQ and hot pot combo, and we can’t wait for our next visit. If you’re looking for an exciting, delicious, and memorable dining experience, this is the...
Read moreThis restaurant just recently opened on Countryside Blvd across from Countryside Mall, near First Watch, Ross, TJ Maxx, Grillsmith, Boardwalk Pizza, Nothing Bundt Cakes, etc. They still have the grand opening sign up outside. It used to be a Chopstix all you can eat buffet which closed sometime last year. It is now a Nine Spices Hot Pot and Korean BBQ. The space has been completely renovated. It is much nicer than before. It includes conveyor belts that certain foods go on next to all the tables for the Hot Pot orders and has a lot more seating. It is a very fun experience. You can do just the hot pot or just the BBQ for about $26.99, but to do both, it's only an extra $3. Also they have some good deals on BOGO glass of wine/hot sake. With the Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, you cook the raw ingredients at your table, either on a grill that is built into the table or in a soup pot on the table (that sits on a hot spot built into the table so you can cook it right there). The tables have multiple hot spot spots built in so each person can make their own soup. Our waiter Mike was great, as well as the other waiter that was with him (didn't catch his name). He was very nice and accommodating when the wine we had ordered ran low. We did the combo meal, with both hot pot and Korean BBQ. We had enough food for 2 people with just 3 meats and 3 veggies plus the hot pot soup. I had the Thai soup base which is "mild", but for someone who is not tolerant of spicy food, it was a bit spicy for me. Despite that, it was still delicious and I ate most of it. I also met the owner Kenny who was very nice and showed me that they have a nice large round table that can fit 15 people for larger parties. I will definitely be coming back with a larger party next time, with a reservation made, as I am sure this will be a popular place by then and it will be needed. He also said they have a location in St. Pete. All the staff were very kind, coming around and checking on us and taking our empty dishes away. I highly recommend this restaurant for a change of pace and different experience. It is the ONLY restaurant like this in Clearwater. It is very different from an all you can eat buffet and is way more fun. I wouldn't suggest buying movie tickets for just after dinner as then you'd be rushed and it wouldn't be as fun - this is an experience that you should take the...
Read moreFood was ok, worst customer service. Don't try to ask for Duo/triple Soup On Their Menu when you want to try the different kinds of soup, unless you want to feel embarrassed when they tryna refuse to make it for you.
I have had good experiences before with servers here who was okay when we want to get the Duo Hot Pot Soup.
However, today, we came as 2 ppl. My friend ordered a single soup, and I ordered a Duo since I would like to try them both. The guy who served our table kept saying things like "it is gonna be too much soup for 2 ppl unless you guys want to share", but when I asked "why? We cannot order like that or what", he couldn't explain, and waiting until both of us getting very awkward then he said he could do that if I want (??)
Ok, so Why then?! If you are not gonna let customers order the Dou/triple, why do you put those options on your menu? You guys want to make differences with other restaurants, but dont want to let ppl order that? For whatever reasons, either the servers were told to not let customers order a lot of soup, or That Server Himself Did not Want To Bring Us The Soup (because he probably was lazy, who knows?). If you guys dont put any notes under it telling us about "we can or cannot order the Duo once one of us already had a single one", we assume that we can have that option right? I believe so, because if not, the other servers wouldnt let us order like that in the past few times without any problems at all. Not to mention, last few times, they barely came to ask if we want to refill more soup when we ordered single ones, then dont act like customers wasting their soups when you not even giving us more soup when we need.
If you worry about customer wasting food, then put less soup in the Duo. There is no reason to refuse when you literally have those options on menu right?
That server, he is doing customer service, he wants to make money but dont want to serve. Ask your server if I am telling correctly every...
