Boardwalk Pizza & Gyros — Restaurant in Clearwater

We ordered online about an hour before closing, and even though it was late, the service was genuinely kind and thoughtful. One of the slices we originally ordered—the Sicilian—was already sold out, but the lady working there gave us a heads-up and substituted it with an NYC cheese slice. She went out of her way to make sure we were still happy with the order, and it was appreciated!

We tried the NYC cheese slice and the supreme slice, and both were excellent. The NYC slice had that classic thin crust with the perfect balance of cheese and sauce—simple, but really well done. The supreme slice was loaded with toppings and had great flavor without being greasy or overwhelming.

We also took advantage of their Wednesday Wing Special and got three flavors: Kickin’ Bourbon, Hot Buffalo, and (originally) Carolina Gold. They were out of Carolina Gold, so she recommended their honey flavor instead—and honestly, we didn’t miss a thing. The wings were juicy with a nice crisp outside, and each sauce had its own unique flavor. The Kickin’ Bourbon was sweet with a smoky kick, Hot Buffalo had the perfect level of heat, and the honey was sticky, savory, and delicious. Even their ranch was good—creamy and clearly made in-house or just a really solid pick.

To finish it off, we grabbed some cannolis, and they were rich, sweet, and creamy without being too heavy. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful.

As I am always on the hunt for the best pizza place in the area and was hesitant to try this pizza place after looking at the pictures in the review. I looked at the prices on line and it seem reasonable and that was why I decided to try it. I called for a pick up. I ordered a 16” lSupreme pizza and antipasto salad. She said 30 minutes.

I was running late and arrived 40 minutes and the pizza was still not ready so I waited 10 more minutes. She rung me up and it was $32? The price is higher from the online pictures however I didn’t care so I didn’t say anything. Just note that the cost is higher than other places.

When I got home, I open the pizza box and It looked ok but they definitely skimped out on the sausage. I am still looking for the best tasting sausage on a pizza and sorry to say that this was definitely not even close. I took a bite into the pizza. The cheese was good but there was no flavor to the sauce. The dough was like chewing a hard piece of cardboard. My mouth got tired of chewing so much so it made it not enjoyable to eat. The antipasto salad was ok as it was 90% lettuce with 2 olives and one small pepper. It is definitely not worth ordering again.

From the moment I walked in, I felt apart of the family. I come by weekly and every time is a great experience, the part of the day sometimes I look forward most. This family owned gem goes above and beyond for its customers with great hospitality. Everybody there is attentive and passionate about what they do, and you can clearly tell there’s no better place than this as your second home when the work day hasn’t been the best. Now I’ll tell you about the pizza! Absolutely phenomenal! The crust is always perfect, never burnt but always crispy. The sauce is always fresh along with the other ingredients to make a good pie! Everything there is high quality and as I come in weekly they’re constantly getting a delivery or coming back with all the fresh vegetables. Their dough is made there, sometimes if you make it right on time you can watch how they work their magic! Even just their good ole regular cheese slice is wonderful!
