Shorty's Breakfast & Gourmet Deli — Restaurant in Clearwater

I fish in the area and when I found the deli it seemed pleasing that I was able to buy ice and cold drinks and when they said I was a fisherman they told me that they would be willing to cook my fish and I thought that was a good idea and I visited once or twice until the young man who cooks the fish got involved in a political conversation and began to criticize the things that I was saying, a young man who is half my age who doesn't know very much about the world and who I felt was rather pointed in his abrasive tone who is the individual who would be cooking my fish. Based on his commentary and his foolishness in speaking this way to a paying customer I decided I don't think I would be comfortable with him cooking my food and as a result I'm not shopping there anymore. Now I'm sure they'll survive without my patronage but they have lost a customer. Not very smart when you're in business. Now I'll shop elsewhere for the things I want. I don't think the owner of the business would like his employees alienating his customers....

Last year my close friends were here on vacation and had the opportunity to visit this restaurant. They spoke enthusiastically about the restaurant, about the wonderful balcony on the water with an incredible view and the food they really enjoyed. They said they were served by a very knowledgeable waitress Amela and the service was amazing and professional. It is interesting that they had a beautiful conversation and that it turned out that Amela was a very educated woman and she also had a European background. This year I was with my family and took the opportunity to visit this restaurant. The view from the balcony is wonderful so we enjoyed the ambiance. The food is to be commended everyone not to miss visiting this restaurant if they are in the vicinity. We also met Amela, it just so happened that she served us. My mother has been talking about this place for about a month, so after walk Central Park for Pokemon Go (pokestops) we came for breakfast. I have been fasting on and off for months, so haven't eaten anything like restaurant food in some time. I normally like to try a little of everything and do I did. Mom got her French Toast and the rest of it was mine, when walking in I had planned to take food home, but I just couldn't stop and ate it all. Biscuits and gravy was ok, but you add the egg and sausage to the biscuits and gravy while eating, wow great taste. Tried some of mom's french toast REALLY good, we will be coming back lots of other things on menu and price was not bad, either!
