I have been a loyal customer of The Greek Grill for several years until this incident. They even catered a birthday party for me last year. I called to place an order to-go and part of that order was a large Greek salad with chicken and no olives and a kid's meal that included a drink. As I was placing the order, the woman who took it was training a new male employee, so both were on the phone at the same time. It was a bit confusing because there were times where they were talking over one another, so I had concerns that my order wasn't going to be correct. My concerns were validated when my husband arrived home with the order and I discovered that not only did they not give him the drink that goes with the kid's meal, which wasn't a big deal, but there was no chicken on the Greek salad and it had olives on it. I called the restaurant and spoke with the woman who asked if I could send my husband back to pick up the chicken. I told her that I live 10 minutes away and that I would rather not make a 20 minute round trip just for that. She said she would take down my name and I would get a free Greek salad with chicken during my next visit. Two weeks later, I called to place another order and spoke with another young man. I told him what the woman told me and he adamantly refused to give me the salad she promised me. I could hear him speaking with her and she seemed to have no recollection of even talking to me. I even told him to tell her that she was training someone when my order was taken down wrong. I will add that this isn't the first time that this same woman has made a mistake on one of my orders, but this is the first time that I've had to come back at a later time for her to correct it. Evidently, she did not write my name down as she was supposed to do. The young man even said he went and spoke to the owner and he refused to honor it and said, "How do we know you're not trying to get something for free? We have people do this sort of thing all the time." At that point, I was very upset. I didn't even get what I paid for! I didn't get anywhere with the young man, so I told him I was going to write this review to warn others about my bad experience. A short time later, the owner called to try to smooth things over, but it was too late. He should have tried to do the right thing before he found out I was going to...

The garlic bread is perfectly buttered, toasted, and sliced--fluffy yet crispy. At $12.99, it's a little steep, but it really is delicious.
But I am overall just... disappointed with how this establishment handles money. (1) We were charged about 4% of our bill after tax for a "Non-Cash Adjust", and we weren't warned about that at all. Some establishments will even give you a DISCOUNT if you use cash, but charging a surplus and then not even telling your customers about it until they happen to look at the receipt is a really bad practice. (2) The restaurant charges $0.25 for water cups, a fine practice, but does not warn customers ahead of time and just tacks on the charge. The only reason I knew about it was because I happened to be watching the cash register and saw the price change, then recalled that this is a practice they've done for a while (though I think it used to be $0.10 per cup back in 2017ish). My problem once again is not that the charge is there; my problem is that we weren't told about it when we were ordering!
I understand that prices go up because our society has shifted with inflation; it sucks that I feel like these prices have gone up way too much, such that they're no longer "a good deal", but I do still have a soft spot in my heart for this local joint. Overall, we kind of walked out of the door disappointed about how this restaurant has handled pricing.
That being said, the greek dressing on the tables is delicious, and the staff are friendly and very nice. We felt welcomed, and the food came out fresh, hot, and all together so that we could all eat at the same time. Service was an A+, and the food was very satisfactory (if a little pricy).
The TL;DR seems to be that owners/management have made some negative decisions about this restaurant, but the people that we interact with--cashiers, cooks, etc.--are very nice people that are accommodating and very competent. Thanks for making our afternoon delicious...
Read moreThe Greek Grill Experience ( Call In/Pick-up Edition). On this night, I wanted something light and fresh, which screamed Greek. I have never eaten at the Greek Grill, so I thought I would try them out. So I called and placed an order for their Chicken Souvlaki Platter that comes with two chicken skewers, Greek salad, pita bread, and a side choice. I ordered a Greek salad for my side and a side of tzatziki sauce. The individual I placed my order with was polite and friendly and gave me a 10 minute wait time to pick up my food.
Once I arrived, I pulled to the drive-through window and paid for my food. Again, the customer service was excellent. Once getting home and ready to eat, I enjoyed the salad dressing. It had a hint of sweetness, not like most dressings for Greek salads. The pita bread was warm and fresh. The chicken skewers were seasoned so well, but I kept biting into chicken cartilage. It was multiple pieces on the skewer, which was disappointing.
At this time, I am unsure if I would go back to the Greek Grill. Maybe if I were ordering a salad minus the chicken, probably. However, to have chicken with that many pieces of cartilage tell me this is a daily occurrence of how this place prepares its chicken skewers. Nevertheless, the customer service was outstanding, and my food was ready promptly. I'm just unsure this...
