Long wait times despite not being busy, we waited an overall of 1.2 hours for our meal and they even took the orders out of order. I ordered the combo 2 sushi and she gave me combo 3 and when I told the waiter she repeatly told me that is not what I said because she had written it down as 3. I am allergic to something on combo 3 and yet she still did not replace my order.
Their spicy tuna roll is just a dab of siracha on a regular tuna roll, very abysmal. The soup is mediocre, contains basically just MSG, no tofu or seaweed. The salad was quite nice and I enjoyed the dressing they used but the terikayi was not good at all. It is a pity because it's pretty much MSG water at this point. They throw on canned carrots for a side and it makes the dish much too sweet. The decor is kind of cheap looking and its not very good for a date or if you want to...
Read moreTook my Granddaughter to Shikii in Clemmons on Wed, March 4th for a surprise dinner date. She loves Japanese food. The Restaurant appeared very clean and we were greeted with 5 star friendliness by the hostess/Cashier and our Server. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our requests. However, as great as the service was, I cannot say the same for the food. White sauce was pink; her shrimp and chicken were both lacking flavor altogether. My steak pieces had “some” flavor, but my shrimp had no flavor. My the Fried rice definitely needed seasoning and my Granddaughter’s steamed rice had no flavor at all. We left a nice tip because non of this was the server’s fault. He and the Hostess/cashier were both Delightful. Unfortunately, we have no plans to return as the food was quite...
Read moreWe came here for sushi based on the very good reviews listed below, but sorry had to disagree. The sushi was disappointing and even 'terrible' dare i say based on one reason alone- the rice was bad. It was gummy and pasty. Like the time we tried to make sushi at home and the rice was overcooked and gummy and hard to swallow. The fish portion and how it was made was good otherwise, but unfortunately the rice being terrible spoiled it. Also the ginger smelled old and tasted weird; the 'low sodium' soy sauce was anything but- hey at least the wasabi was good? Also the prices were good and you got good portions. Unfortunately the sushi was just that bad we wouldn't come back unless they're able to correct it in the future. Kotos a few miles away has way better sushi in...
