What can I say? Tin's House, Thai Cuisine is the BEST! We just discovered it and from the absolutely outstanding food, the kindness of the owners (wife is the chef...and a really good one!) my wife and I just can't say enough. Service outstanding. Yes, it is small. Yes it is in the little town of Clermont, IN, but the flavor in the food and the experience was top notch. We ordered the Spring Rolls....flavorful, fresh and the accompanying sauce was spectacular. You can taste fresh ingredients and the unique dipping sauce had to be a special recipe. My wife ordered the Mixed Vegetables with Tofu and I ordered the Drunken Noodles with Chicken. We like HOT...not Thai Hot...but HOT and it was PERFECT! Just the amount of "hot" that we like to accompany outstanding fresh food prepared perfectly. The rice that came with my wife's Mixed Vegetables was a delicate white rice that is like none we have ever had (yes, I was able to take a little of it!). She said her dish contained wonderful FRESH vegetables prepared in a very light, but tasty, sauce. My Drunken Noodles were out of this world. Like my wife's dish, the vegetables were as fresh as could be and the chicken cooked perfectly. The wide noodles were in a delicious sauce that was a wonderful blend of flavors. Then, something we had not had before....the Fried Banana for dessert......Oh, my! The taste was just sweet enough, not too sweet, and the banana wrapped like the Spring Rolls and deep fried, drizzled with some almost honey-like sweetness. The service was amazing, the owners smiled and were thankful for our business and...YES, YES, YES!! We will be back. Thank you to Tin's House, Thai Cuisine for working so hard to make your customers feel welcome and special.

We gave this place a chance last week, did not go as well as we thought. Prepared to pay extra if you plan to use credit cards !!! The picture attached is the sub-total, then around 9% tax, then the check total, AND THEN higher THE TOTAL. We chose to pay cash, and the server did not give us the correct change. When we walked out, my husband came and told him about that but the server was just standing there and did nothing. Check your camera!!!! Another thing, before I write this review, I came to look at other reviews and the owner replied to other negative reviews in a very bitter tone. Customer service shouldn’t be like that. As a restaurant owner, you can’t just only accept positive reviews and deny any mistakes you made at all costs. We all know that people have different experience. Some customers may have a bad experience one time they are there but if you accept your mistakes and are willing to adapt, you may bring customers back. Why do I put this information about change mistakes in the review even though it’s a small thing? Because you can learn from your mistakes and especially other customers can be aware and whenever they get changes back, they can double-check it. That’s the whole reason of writing reviews, to give honest experience. Anyway, lesson learned as a customer: If you want to complain anything about your experience, make sure to take a picture or video as a proof because there is a chance the owner thinks you lie about it!

Update 12/31/23 - we visited again on NYE.... re-order of the items below. The consistency is excellent, everything was perfect. Seems like the Colts were on both times we stopped in (what a coincidence), so we had some entertainment during our meal. Just great folks....warm and welcoming. Thx! Six stars. Cannot believe we found this place! Just ridiculously good food and gracious service. Feels just like home. The spiciness is spot on…we asked for Thai Hot and that’s what they made for us. We ordered mushroom fried rice for an app…some of the best fried rice ever! I ordered massaman curry and the flavor is outstanding, thick sauce, and potatoes were perfectly cooked (I really dislike undercooked potatoes). Such a simple thing that Tin’s clearly understands. My wife ordered mixed veggies with fried tofu….even this dish had excellent flavor and spice. Others have said, “this is the best Thai food in Indy”….fully agree with that statement.

I don't quite understand how this business is run. We came in with 3 people (2 adults and one kid) and we were given 2 water bottles. They didn't count my son. They probably thought my son didn't need to drink? We ordered a few dishes: a tom kha soup, a papaya salad, and a rice noodle dish. The papaya salad and soup were great, the rice noodle was not bad. What annoyed me the most was how they want to get payment. I didn't look around to check if you would be charged 2 dollars if you pay card, doesn't matter how much you pay for. Ok, fine. It's their busness, they can do whatever they want. So we paid cash. Here was the fun part. For some reason, they did not give us the correct change. We gave them $100 bill, they were supposed to give us back $45.97. What we got back was $45.85 with no explanation why we got short. Mistake here? I don't think so. Hey common. 12 cents is nothing compared with how much we spent for the meal. But please be honest and transparent. I remember I once ate at a restaurant in Japan, they did not have enough change for me, instead they gave me back change with a few pieces of candy and some tissue for the missing change with a sorry note. This business is very different. The fact is this is a small place and the prices are not competitive than other Thai restaurants nearby, I don't see why I would go back to try more food after my first...
