Horrible experience for our first time here. Came in at 6:10 after we called in parking lot saying there was no wait for 2 people. Get a table and we waited almost 30 minutes just for our waitress to come to our table and finally get our drinks. Then we waited like 10 or 15 minutes for those to arrive. She leaves us again and then comes back at least 10 mintes later asking if we know what we want. We give her our orders (2- 10 oz sirloin, 2 fries and one side mac n cheese). Literally waited 30 or 40minutes for food to arrive and it wasnt even our waitress it was someone else and they just dropped the food off and left(which i get; they are food runners). Both of our orders weren't hot at all, they werent even luke warm. Pur steaks werent cooked right and they were tough to chew and cut. i couldnt eat my steak yet because i wanted steak sauce. Waited 15 mintes for her to come "check on us" and i asked very nicely for some sauce and till the end; i still didnt have sauce as we asked for the check because i was done with this place! My fiance had an empty drink more than half our time there and when she did come up (maybe 2 or 3 times) she didnt fill it up or ask if we needed anything. So the last time she came, i asked for togo box and check NICELY AGAIN. Oh but she already had the check for us so she gave us that. Waited another 15 or 20 minutes for her to come THROW the box to me and didnt even make eye contact with us. So we left cash and didnt even wait for her to come back because we knew it would be another 20 minutes or so. Im sorry i understand that having alot of tables or big dining parties but like i said to my fiancé at least she could of done is come by us and say "hey sorry i have alot of tables", or "ill be with yall in just a second" and we would of totally understood. Ive been a waitress so i understand what it is like to be slammed busy and running around like a chicken with your head cut off but this waitress wasnt even running around or checking on people. We didnt get out of there till 7:50 something. This was literally the worst dining experience ever!. Im sorry im not trying to be mean but...
Read moreI recently visited Aubrey’s Restaurant in Cleveland, Tennessee, and had a mixed experience that was enjoyable overall. With a few highlights and some minor disappointments, it’s definitely a spot I would consider revisiting. Here’s my take on the food, service, and atmosphere at Aubrey’s after my meal on their outdoor patio.
Review for Aubrey’s Restaurant in Cleveland, Tennessee
Food (4/5): I tried the salmon tacos with coleslaw, and while the tacos themselves were quite good, the coleslaw wasn't my favorite. The homemade coleslaw had large pieces of apple, which added a unique twist, but I was expecting a more traditional take on the dish. The flavor of the apple didn’t complement the rest of the meal as I had hoped. However, the salmon tacos were delicious. The seasoning on the salmon was flavorful, and the slight crispiness from grilling the tortillas added a great texture to the dish.
The highlight of my meal was the Key Lime pie. It was a large slice and tasted wonderfully homemade. If you’re a fan of Key Lime pie, this is a must-try.
Service (5/5): The service was attentive and pleasant. Multiple waiters came by to check on me during the meal, ensuring that I had everything I needed. I felt well taken care of, and the staff’s attentiveness added to the overall experience.
Atmosphere (5/5): I sat on the outdoor patio, which I really enjoyed. It was a bit quieter than the inside, offering a relaxed and pleasant dining experience. The indoor area seemed lively, and the atmosphere overall felt inviting, whether inside or out. The patio is a great option if you're looking for a calmer environment.
Overall Rating: 4/5 If the main course had been a bit better, this would have been a 5-star review.
Nonetheless, I had a lovely time and would recommend Aubrey's for its service, great atmosphere, and...
Read moreI normally don’t write reviews but after speaking to a manager over the phone I decided to post my experience. We love to eat here but my wife was diagnosed with celiac disease which for some would label it a gluten allergy. Last night February 27 2024 we had dinner here we told the server that my wife was celiac therefore needed the food to be gluten free as they have a menu for that. Well last night before we even arrived home she was sick! And she will be sick for a few days. So I called today just to let them know that there was a problem so if they were concerned enough to check into it so this may not happen to someone else I spoke to a manager named Laura. My concern was met with an abrupt offer to send me something in the mail and she seemed like she wanted to be done and move on after I could remember the servers name I wanted to tell her where we were sitting so she could check back on the schedule to see whom it was but she kept talking over me and kept saying if I remember later then call her back and I wanted to suggest to her to look at the schedule from last night and see who it was BUT NO she continued to talk over me and when I called her out on talking over me she got louder and told me that she wasn’t talking over me while I was trying to tell her she could just look at the schedule I couldn’t care less about free dinners and what ever she was gonna send me I just wanted to be heard and for her to be concerned enough to follow the trail and see where the mistake was made I then we would consider the risk of coming back to eat there. Laura should be fired immediately! She was in such a rush to squash my complaint/concern and talked over me the whole time she couldn’t possibly understand what I was calling for! Good place to eat if you don’t have an issue with gluten or a manager...
