Hidden gem alert 💎 Docs on Harvard might just be the best Black-owned restaurant in Cleveland. The Mochatini? 10/10. The lamb chops? Life-changing. #FineDiningFridays #clevelandeats #216 #foodietiktok #CapCut

This is what I've been waiting for. An upscale restaurant with diaspora inspired flavours with the service and attention you would expect from the Ritz Carlton while exemplifying the absolute best in southern black charm. Ima sucker for good old fashioned customer service. The service alone would make me come back but baby the food. Let me give y'all my experience. Let me start. I saw a post on Facebook and thought to myself I would love to try this place. So one Saturday evening after attending Fevers Candlelight Tribute to Coldplay we decide to give it a try. When we arrived we wanted to know where to park, so we called the restaurant and one of the owners said he would come and valet our car for us! Total shock. We get inside and the vibe and the ambiance was amazing! There was a couple inside enjoying their date. The candles were lit and smelled fantastic by the way. It just gave my husband and I an overall relaxed feeling. The decor was beautiful and it reminded me of some of the great jazz spots in Washington DC. Alice's to be particular. The fireplace was lit and the design choices were carefully crafted. The husband (owner) did a great job of orating the history of the location and the contributions his parents made to both the US military and the local Dentistry community here in northeast Ohio. While the wife (Owner/Chef) did a terrific job of informing us of how the food would be prepared and what flavours and notes were present in each dish and how they would compliment each other. We just live a good cocktail and a story. Speaking of cocktails we tried the "Doli Stoli" a delicious cocktail made with Vodka and infused pineapple. Delectable. I did not eat the appetiser (allergy) which was the Chicken & Shrimp Gumbo consisting of a Rich roux trinity cajun spices and rice. I have to assume it was delicious since I didn't even get to take a picture because the husband was devouring it. I enjoyed the Zuppa Toscana; a tasty soup comprising of Rustic potatoes in savory parmesan broth with house turkey sausage & spinach. I wanted to ditch my manners and lick the bowl but I didn't. The husband enjoyed the Fish & Chips which was a delicious platter of Beer battered Cod filets, crispy fries & creamy slaw w/ house tartar sauce. I don't even know where to begin. Everything was so delicious and fresh. A true burst of flavour exploding in your mouth. I will say this the overall experience was other worldly, but you know the God was good when you get home with leftovers and eat everything without warming it up. Insane. This place is what this community needed. We have the gift of folk who are rooted in community, experts in their field, and actually love what they do and guess what; it shows in their food!

So, I've been wanting to get to Doc's on Harvard since I heard that William Walker and his wife, Chef Kolnita Riggins-Walker opened their restaurant at Lee and Harvard in the building where his Dad's Dental Practice was located for years. Well, we finally made it last night and everything was absolutely delicious! From my Gin and Tonic (with a splash of St. Germaine) to the Ceasar Salad, prepared tableside, to Doc's Signature Whitefish, a pan seared Walleye served with Israeli couscous blistered tomatoes and spinach with a lemon beurre blanc. It was all EXCELLENT! I'll definitely be back soon!

I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful dining experience as well as service! What a pleasant surprise, Doc’s on Harvard is beautifully appointed, the service was attentive and friendly and the food amazing. I went on a Wednesday which featured Melrose, a magnificent singer and a prix fixe menu featuring Uncle Nearest whiskey and brisket . The food was so delicious , meat was tender seasoned well and accompanied by Mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread. This was my first experience trying Uncle Nearest. It’s been on my bucket list out of respect for the history…I’m a light liquor drinker though I must admit my Old Fashioned featuring Uncle Nearest was smooth and delicious. As wonderful as the food and cocktails are the personality of Bill and Kolnita, proprietor and Executive Chef of the establishment is so warm and welcoming. They are giving you history , life experiences and genuine love of the community here. Really a great...

I visited Docs for a birthday dinner with friends. The ambiance, the decor, the employees were beyond 5 star. The food was FANTABULOUS! THE BEST FINE DINING FOOD IN CLEVELAND! Executive Chef Kolnita, provided and experience with table side accommodations and smile that was to die for. We were blessed with her Lobster Risotto, White fish, turnip greens, cornbread, THE BEST SOUL ROLLS, and garlic mashed potatoes. As well, a Dirty Martini, and an Uncle Nearest Manhattan. By her side was her debonair husband and AMAZING, daughter. The pallet cleanser alone was worth coming back for! The service was IMPECCABLE! They are booked and busy however, can accommodate all areas of professional, fine dining, events, birthday gatherings and so much more... Visit soon and I promise you, you won't regret it! FYI, they also have a...
