The whole reason a person goes to a place like Huddle House is because the food is supposed to be fresh and hot right? You watch them cool it right?
I don’t isually leave less than stellar reviews but in this case I’ll make an exception. I went to this HH two days in a row.
Day 1. I watch them cool fresh eggs and hash browns. Great! Then I watch them grab bacon that had been sitting on a pile of bacon for god knows how long. (I know it was for at least 30 minutes because that how long I had been there watching the pile of bacon). Why fresh eggs and hash browns then cold stale bacon?? Nope!
Day 2. I ask for eggs and sausage this time (I didn’t see a pile of sausage so I figured it would be hot.. and it was. Yay! I wanted a little gravy on the sausage as well. Order comes out and has gravy on the hash browns instead. No big deal, they take it back to fix. They did! I did have my eggs and sausage completely eaten by the time the new HB came out. No biggie there either. I asked for my toast to come out late so it would be hot... so I asked for it after I was finished. I sat there and watched an order of toast pop up and sit there in the toaster for (no lie!) 15 minutes before it was ever taken by the cook. Then it sat there on the counter while the rest of someone’s order finished cooking... the toast was for someone else... thank goodness or else I would have sent it back.
I never did get mine.
Note to Huddle House... I know y’all get busy and that things happen, I get that.. I truly do. Your staff is friendly and polite (except for the female cool I had this morning who got defensive when I mentioned that I never got my toast and to please remove it from the bill) but the bottom line is that the food coming off the line should be HOT... all the way down to the toast.
Picking bacon off a pile instead of cooking per order and letting toast sit in a toaster for 15 or 20 minutes is not cool.
I know it makes no difference to you, but I won’t be back. There are far more places that serve all their food hot and not just some of it.

Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. We showed up for breakfast this morning, and, as I anticipated the place was packed. We walked in the door, a little, uncertain if we were supposed to wait for someone to seat us, or if we were supposed to just take a seat ourselves. All the tables inside were full other than two tables that still needed to be clean. There were several tables outside that were available, and there was already a family outside sitting at one. I made a comment to my husband about thinking that we were supposed to wait for somebody to seat us, because there was a sign that says please wait to be seated. It was at that time a waitress smugly said yes, once a table becomes available, we will seat you. So we waited. It was a good 15-20 minutes, before several other groups of people started to line up behind us. In particular a couple. There had already been another table where people had left, and it was waiting to be cleaned, making three tables needing to be cleaned at this point. I then observed them see everybody walk in, and that’s when they decided to start cleaning off the tables. Keep in mind we were quietly waiting patiently. We finally were seated once a table was cleaned. They also sat several other people that walked in behind us. Once again, we patiently waited for someone to approach our table, but no one ever did. We didn’t even have menus to look at. 5 more minutes goes by, and I see the waitresses, helping everyone but us. It was at that point I look outside the window and noticed that the couple that walked in behind us had already had menus, coffee, and already ordered their food. At this point, I felt as if they were intentionally ignoring us. Made no sense why. We had been completely polite and quietly waited so there wasn’t any reasoning. At that point I was a little aggravated, so I stood up and told my husband we should leave, that I felt like we were being ignored. So we left without any service for more than 25 minutes. I would never...
Read moreWe have been in the Cleveland area for about a year now and every time we go by Huddle House it is crowded or has ppl waiting outside. So we thought it must be good and all the reviews we see are good. My family and I decided to go yesterday because we figured it would not be busy and we were off of work. It was not busy at all, we were the only ones there. The waitress was very nice and took our order. We ordered 2 kids 2 egg breakfast with raisin toast and 2 meatlovers omelet plates, when our food came out our omletes were the sadest things ever definitely not worth the money and we literally MAYBE had 1/2 a order of hashbrowns probably not even a 1/2. I was literally to the point I was ready to send it back and go else where. But my kids food had not even been brought out yet. When she finally came back and brought my kids food I asked about the hashbrowns and she said she would get us another order. She went to inform the cook and she started saying stuff under her breath I couldn't exactly hear what was said but by the tone it was not nice. I proceeded to tell them if it was a problem they could just take it all back. And after looking at my kids food he didn't have any hashbrowns at all when he was supposed to. At that point I was just done with the rudeness and just gave my child some of mine. We finished eating and I took my kids to the car so my husband could pay and when he came back out to the car I seen on the receipt that she charged us extra for all of the raisin toast. I was not informed of a $1.19 uncharged on each order before ordering bc if I would have known I would not have gotten them. All in all we were the ONLY ppl in the restaurant and it was not a good experience at all. I am very...
