AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. I really wanted to like this place because it's close to where I work, but they are very disorganized, very dirty inside, the food is not good at all... and for what you get, it is very overpriced!! This was my second visit and it's been a while since my first time. I ordered a beef burrito on my first visit and thought it had a very odd taste, but just couldn't pin point it. Since they're close though, I thought I would give them a second chance. I figured this time around, I would order something simple. Soft Tacos. You can't screw up soft tacos, right? I parked, went to the walk up window for service and was greeted quickly. I ordered 4 of their tacos, which they call "birria tacos" with a soft shell. 2 beef and 2 chicken to be specific. The total came to $12.00 which for really good tacos, seems to be typical. I gave my name and was told it would only be about 5 minutes. Since I was the only person there at the time, 5 minutes sounded about right. After waiting about 5 minutes, another young lady came to the window and said "you can go wait in your car and wait since it's cold and I'll bring your food out as soon as it's ready". At that time, I also decided to order a side of Pico de gallo which they had listed on the menu board for $.99... but after I ordered it, she they told me $2.00. When I said it's listed for $.99 on their menu, she replied yea, well everything on the menu is listed at our old prices and they have changed. What??? Apparently the new prices are not listed anywhere because the other girl was looking at her like she just made that up and since that was their only menu??? I hate the "no listed prices game", but I wanted the Pico, so I paid her and proceeded to my car as she suggested. Again, I was told only 5 minutes for the 4 soft tacos I ordered, so after waiting the 5 minutes at the window, then sitting in my car for another 15 MINUTES... I finally went back up to the window. The girl who had taken my order left (she was parked next to me) and the one who said she would bring my food out was the only one there. She was mopping the floor when I walked back up, so after standing there for another minute or two, I finally had to knock on the window a few times to get her attention. When I asked about my order and told her the original person told it would only be 5 minutes and that my lunch is almost over, she looked lost and asked for my name and what I ordered again. She walked back to the kitchen and when she came back out, looked at a bag on the counter and said, Oh yes, this is your order. They only wrote phone on it, so I didn't know it was yours. No apology. I took the order and left since my lunch was nearly over, but I really should have looked first. There were 4 hard tacos in the box, not soft like I had ordered and they were tiny little things. I hate hard tacos, but since I was really hungry, they were so expensive and since my lunch was nearly over, I ate them anyway in the parking lot of my work. The chicken tacos were very bland, but the beef tacos were disgusting and after looking it up, I realized that they tasted true to the birria name (Goat meat). In other words, they have a very weird Middle Eastern lamb like flavor that has no business being on a beef taco. Also, the box they cam in was gross with greasy finger prints all over it. See the photos. Worst of all, as we all know, tacos are messy and they gave me a fork... but NO NAPKINS!!! Afterword, I remembered that they forgot to include napkins the last time also. Needless to say, I will not be visiting here again.

We stopped by last week for lunch. Locos is a takeout taco stand in what used to be to be an ice cream stand. At first we planned to eat at the picnic tables out front, but traffic on W 130th was too little too loud for that. Our order took a little bit because, as they noted, everything is made to order. At the suggestion of a few regulars standing in line we got the loaded chicken French fries, the Birria tacos, and the California burrito. All of the food was very good, and the French fries were a meal for two in themselves. I’d definitely go back and have everything I ordered all over again. It was very good. There was a good amount of oil left over on my plate, but the food did not taste greasy. Very good take out taco place. It looks like they are trying to add a patio area in the back away from the traffic noise. That would be a nice addition. I much prefer eating food on the premises when it is hot off the grill.

I got two beef barria tacos from them. They. Were. Amazing. Really good. 🤤 I just devoured them. I don't usually like dipping sauce for tacos but I couldn't stop from dunking them! My only problem is the price tho. 🙁 $3 per, $6 for two. If it was $9 for 4 (or even $8/3), or they were bigger, I would go there over Taco Bell or Cozumel's on W150th a lot. Their barria tacos are better than Don Ramon's tho. And Don's is *really good*. I'll def go back every now and then. I just wish they'd be cheap enough to replace TB for me, lol. Oh, also, it smelled so good. Just sitting in the front area, smelling the tacos cooking. It was almost intoxicating.

I waited 45 minutes to pick up order. My chicken bowl was ice cold. I had to Return to the store for my missing/paid side of guacamole and that took another 5 minutes originally ordered the 12 soft taco box and asked if they can make 6 of them hard. 12 soft tacos were priced 36$ and 12 hard are priced at 30$. They failed to mention that means separate charges now per taco since I want 6soft and 6 hard. They charged me 18$ for 6 soft steak tacos and 24$ for 6 hard steak tacos with no mention of price difference. Steak was extremely chewy/low grade Mild sauce is not taco sauce The prices on the website does not reflect the much higher prices at the location. Jarrito pop was priced 2$ on line they charge 3$ When I called to share my experience with the manager they said they cannot do anything since the food was not wrong. I felt like they price gouged me and also did nothing in leu of returning multiple times to get my full order. And my Cold food bowl. I questioned the prices too but the Manager only apologized for my experience and made excuses for all my complaints. Ex: Prices are on the outside of the building Ex: all food was done at the same time so nothing could be cold ex: no mention that splitting soft and hard tacos means individual pricing. My family priced online and I took the order to the drive through window. The menu was difficult to read and the prices were not as advertised. I believe this Unethical business practice was very disheartening. I waited at the drive thru window and u can't read any prices on their menu. Very unpleasant experience. Food was not worth 60$ I would rather go to an authentic Mexican restaurant and spend 30$ a person. Never going to take my business there again. Waste of...

My impromptu stop at this place turned into a heartwarming experience. After a routine doctor's appointment, I spotted this quaint eatery and decided to give it a try. I ordered a mix of berrra chicken tacos for my husband and some veggie soft tacos for myself. However, my excitement was momentarily dampened when my Mastercard declined not once, but four times. Even Apple Pay failed me. It wasn't until later that I realized my bank had flagged my card due to potential fraud concerns stemming from a previous shopping trip. With only $11 in cash on hand, I faced an awkward situation. Enter Rasha, the embodiment of hospitality and understanding. Despite my predicament, she graciously allowed me to pay the remaining balance later. Her kindness and trust were truly heartening. Upon returning within the hour to settle the bill, I couldn't help but marvel at the warmth of the staff and the inviting atmosphere of the place. But the real star of the show was, without a doubt, the tacos. My husband declared them the best he'd ever tasted, and I found myself in complete agreement. It's not just about the food; it's the people behind it that truly make this place shine. Needless to say, we'll be making many more visits...
